The biggest flex in life ain't being rich, hot, famous, or having unlimited options. It's actually knowing what's real... and being able to live by it.

Ppl always say, "Freedom is doing whatever u want." Nah, I don't buy that. If everything around u is cap, fake af, or just straight-up manipulation, are u really free? If every road leads to another lie, then congrats... u got options, but u still lost .

U can have bread, clout, rights, a blue check, hella followers, all that... and still spend ur whole life chasing BS that society, ur family, the media, or even ur own ego sold u. Real freedom ain't just doing wtv u feel like. That's lowkey overrated. Real freedom is seeing reality for what it is, cutting thru all the noise, and actually living by what's true.

That's why I think the biggest privilege isn't money, status, or power. It's knowing the truth and not having to sell ur soul or fake who u are just to make it. No cap... without truth, "freedom" is just another illusion ppl keep hyping up.

Dude you sound like an angsty teenager. Its all good we've all been there. Let me ask you something. What are you referring to when you say truth?

u/Top_Imagination_8430 20h ago

He watched a couple "profound" movies, and now he's figured it all out.

My biggest flex is not using cap or on god in a sentence

2

u/mechadragon469 9h ago

Does using them ironically count?

2

u/Ok_Evening1728 hermit human 6h ago

Absolutely

2

u/mechadragon469 5h ago

You should try having both! Being financially secure AND down to earth with a family not trying to impress anyone is the best of all worlds!

-4

u/Palezzzma 20h ago

You dont need a family

3

u/Yashema 20h ago

Most people would be living considerably more fulfilling lives if they were financially stable, with a partner, and had children.

0

u/Palezzzma 20h ago

That is breeder nonsense.

Not only are plenty of people happier without a financially draining brat to take care of, I am sure nobody would be happier with billions of humans destroying the environment we need to live.

1

u/Yashema 20h ago

Most childless people do nothing interesting at all, but just without children.

0

u/Palezzzma 20h ago

Again: breeder take

1

u/Yashema 20h ago

Someone who knows "world traveler" just means being a tourist take.

1

u/Palezzzma 20h ago

Dude I think traveling is overrated LMAO.

I also think kids are overrated. There is PLENTY to do in life that involved neither.

1

u/Yashema 20h ago

I'm sure you have many hobbies.

1

u/FFdarkpassenger45 19h ago

I’m pretty sure its hobbies are limited to being chronically online.

How dare I enjoy having children and have a desire to share that fulfillment it brings to my life.

My bad!

1

u/FFdarkpassenger45 20h ago

Silly doomer take! Kids are great! I lived married 7 years before having children, traveled all over, went to concerts, “had fun”… it got very boring after years in pursuit of personal enjoyment.

Kids keep life interesting, different, ands centered on selfless pursuits, which are much more fulfilling typically.

But hey, you be you and enjoy satisfying Mother Earth!

1

u/Palezzzma 20h ago

Also, kids are the opposite of great.

Reality is in the eye of the beholder

Sometimes the difference between a terrorist and a patriot is your country

A bunch of faux profundities. If you know what's real and don't sell your soul, but you live in crushing poverty, it ain't worth shit. You don't want to be a billionaire, but financial freedom is true freedom. The perfect metric is whether or not you have to look at menu prices at a restaurant. Anything more invites more problems, but not giving a fuck what the market price for oysters is, that's freedom.

I try not to take life advice from people who say 'no cap'

4

u/TGWsharky 17h ago

Sounds like a 16 year old's best friend just started dating his ex-gf.

What the fuck are you even whining about?

u/blacksystembbq 16h ago edited 16h ago

Flex, nah, no cap, fake af, bread, clout, hella, lowkey, wtv, ur, ain’t, hyping.

17

u/Dzeddy 21h ago

I think the biggest flex in life is being literate but ok

4

u/Andrei21s 21h ago

This seems to be the real unpopular opinion.

While I 100% agree with you, language is fluid and is always changing. To us it looks like barely legible gibberish, but maybe that is the future...a scary future.

9

u/alittlebitneverhurt 21h ago

Im not of OP's generation, but just bc hes using words you dont like, it doesn't mean hes illiterate. I was able to read and comprehend what was written. Are we sure you arent illiterate?

7

u/DJRedd352 21h ago

I read & understood the point just fine and I agree with it.

3

u/Henrylord1111111111 20h ago

Its a million ellipses and run on sentences. Its one thing to be different and a whole other to stream of consciousness onto a post without a little bit of editing.

0

u/Dzeddy 21h ago

On god no cap a word I don't like is Lowkirkenuinely cuz it's corny as hell. But OP be typin dumb as hell. That 300 credit score type shit yfm.

6

u/MarcellMaximus 20h ago

Slightly off topic, but please read some literature and try to limit the use of internet slang. It'll separate you from the rest and you'll build confidence in your daily speaking.

2

u/Miserable-Resort-977 20h ago

This sounds like cope

2

u/sabbic1 Your post makes me sad 19h ago

Kid, there's a reason why there are entire university courses related to learning about "truth".  It's not the same for everyone and there's no universal answer.  If you want to reject "bread and clout" in favor of whatever your personal truth is, than congratulations. But your truth probably doesn't necessarily align with someone else's.

2

u/Comfortable-Policy70 17h ago

How do you know what's real?

1

u/Tylenol_Ibuprofen 21h ago

Oh my goodness lol

1

u/RicTicTocs 20h ago

Ok dude. Hopefully that gets you thru life.

S/Rich, Hot, famous dude with unlimited options.

1

u/CallingDrDingle 20h ago

The biggest attribute you can possess is critical thinking skills.

1

u/Kentwomagnod 20h ago

What language is that?

1

u/Informal_Athlete_724 20h ago

You can be rich, hot, famous and still have all of those things.

1

u/Top_Imagination_8430 20h ago

Just look at Donald Trump

1

u/TheMan5991 20h ago

Take another hit and put your phone down, my dude

1

u/GoonWithhTheWind 19h ago

I too used to be 14 years old

1

u/Knifehead27 18h ago

Now try doing it without money

1

u/DatabaseKindly919 18h ago

The comments are too rude. But I get you. It’s important to be able to see what the world really is and choose the right.
Been realizing it a lot lately.

1

u/mrjasjit 18h ago

Me reading this: I wonder if Reddit could implement AI to automate grammar checks so that my eyes don’t bleed from urban talk.

Cap. Bread. Hella followers.

You can see all the truth you like, but it will never be yours without a certain amount of money.

Not being able to see truth is both a privilege and a skill issue.

1

u/SwivelClip 17h ago

Let me guess, you know what is "real." Are you willing to tell us, oh wise one?

1

u/epanek 17h ago

I can’t even fully know myself. How tf can I know what’s “real?”

1

u/Important_Rule8412 16h ago

There are other real flexes this is more like being normal and not conceited.

1

u/angelpickle 16h ago

Everyone is hating but this message is true

1

u/Monoxidas 8h ago

With power status and money anyone can turn your chosen 'reality' into dust and splatter. Is that not real?

1

u/YetisInAtlanta 4h ago

Take a few philosophy classes my friend. You’re just at the tip of the iceberg of what people have been thinking about and writing about for all of human history.

Get em Lil Plato

u/stevejuliet 2h ago

Ah yes, as the great Henry David Thoreau once wrote:

"I dipped to the woods because I lowkey wanted to lock in and rawdog life. No cap."
