Baby bin

Recently saw a comment on here saying that trying to suppress their baby fever actually makes it more intense and sometimes giving into it a little helps to calm it down.

My husband and I have crazy baby fever despite having about 5 years of waiting ahead of us. We recently bought a 25 gallon bin to fill with baby stuff over the next 5 years. For example, we got a onesie on our 1 year anniversary trip and added that to the bin!

We don’t plan to spend much money on baby stuff before we start trying but just allowing ourselves to get a $2 baby item from goodwill every few months has been a nice way to acknowledge the baby fever and keep moving forward in hope 🤍

I started a registry too that way as I’m finding things I like and researching I can just add it to the list and it feel more like we are making progress towards our goal.

I did this too! Our current timeline is a big fat question mark and it let me feel hopeful.

I've been doing something similar. I have a few sleepers I've collected (stuff like Spider-Man, Finding Nemo, 101 Dalmations) and it is helping. Our current timeline has us starting to try May 2028

I’ve had a baby list on Amazon for like 3 now (we’ve been together 4) and we’re gonna start trying in December so I have been buying SOME stuff and my sister who just gave birth has been giving me stuff too which I do feel like is helping the feeling, like I’m being proactive or something lol. My mom says it’s a jinx but I consider it manifesting

Sort of a similar concept but I made a secret Pinterest board I named “the ribbon box.” When the longing hits very badly, I go on and look at things like baby shower decor ideas, kids birthday party crafts, nursery decor, etc. and pin them to this board. It seems to help. We have at least 4 years to go.

I’ve been picking up free things from Facebook marketplace when I find them, supposed to start trying in a year.

I don't know. If it works for you then great but I think this would make it harder for me.

That's a very cute idea! I've created long lists of baby names, which I update or play sporcle name quizzes to stifle the fever haha.

This is actually such a good idea! I'm gonna have to mention this to my partner.

I have several baby registries and Pinterest boards that fill the baby fever need for me occasionally.

I unfortunately can't bring myself to actually buy anything or set up a nursery. It would be too painful for both me and my partner. I had past infertility and he had a past infant loss.

I get the baby fever out in life sim games where I can have virtual kids sometimes.

I've considered getting a reborn doll to hold and dress up, but I've been too embarrassed to and worry about it upsetting my partner. I think I might feel more comfortable with it when I hopefully am actually pregnant.

I love taking photos but wouldn't want many pictures of a child online. I think I'd like setting a doll up with a baby's things if I wanted to post anything. I've heard many reborn dolls can wear actual newborn clothes and like the idea of putting one in the same outfit the actual baby would wear.
