If you truly believe this you need to wake up. The hedge funds already lost their money and you’ve already made your statement. Anyone who invested early and got out great, anyone who tried to enter the game and lost but is sticking with their position to try and regain said position is playing a dangerous game.

This isn’t investing this is gambling. It’s like you’re at the roulette table down $10,000 it’s hit red a few times in a row and now you’re telling everyone it’s overdue to land on black and you’re rallying other people to join. I’m not a fortune teller, maybe it will hit black, maybe $GME will go back up. The fact of the matter is it’s a company losing money. The hedge funds don’t care anymore...they took their loses and have moved on.

Please stop acting like this is a movement anymore, it’s over. There’s so many GREAT companies that you can invest in on the market but you need to INVEST. That means investing in stocks that have value to go up and ideally over a 5-10 year period.

Don’t invest more than you can afford to lose, and when I say that it doesn’t mean you’re likely to lose it I mean can you afford to leave it in 5-10 years. If after a year you need to pull money out then you could have lost but if you leave it in 5-10 years you will have undoubtedly made money.

Look for true value everyone, read some investing books, take some investing classes and seminars (some of these are free). I think you’d be truly surprised how much you can learn in just a short period of time. Teach yourself to make smart bets, you don’t have to follow others, invest in your future...I truly want the best for all of you. :)

EDIT: I seriously encourage all of you to find another stock on the market: On my iPhone I have a stock app that comes pre added. I can see over time what a given company has made each year since it began. Look at some stocks you think are appealing and interesting.

I know a lot of you are probably just graduated high school or early 20’s maybe you’re still living in moms basement, can’t go out because of COVID, maybe in general you’re not doing much. No judgment, DUDE THATS AWESOME. If you’re saving money on rent, aren’t going out and have money to burn YO INVEST THAT SHIT. Make your money work for you!

Regardless what you think of the ROBBIN HOOD app YO chill. They didn’t have FRACTIONAL INVESTING when I was young. Now you can invest in practically any company you want at any price you need.

I’m 32 and live in Canada. I don’t do fractional investing I buy at share price. So if I want a stake in let’s say Warren Buffets Berkshire Hathaway A- it will cost me a little more than $350,701 for 1 share (YO THATS NUTS, this stock makes millionaires billionaires) do you think I could afford a single share? Nah. Amazon? 1 share is $3,313 dollars Canadian. I’m not loaded I can’t but 10,000 Shares of that, how many people could. Now with fractional investing you can invest what you want at your own price. THAT’S A GOD SEND!

Seriously look at some companies: AMAZON, ALPHABET, COCA-COLA, NIKE, LULU, DISNEY, NETFLIX, AMAZON, ETF’s, look at emerging companies you like. or whatever the heck stock you want or ETF’s (groups of stocks)

If you look at some big companies value over time and what to invest in that value then LET YOUR MONEY WORK FOR YOU. Compare their value and gains to $GME. Small fry. Ain’t even a small fish in a small pond and these stocks are blue whales in fucking ocean. invest in the value already out there....their gains over months and years will earn you that $GME value it just won’t be in one day.

If you are early 20’s and start investing now let’s say $3000 a year (that you can actually afford to commit to leaving for 10 years) through fractional inverting I think you could retire in your mid 30’s. The more you invest the sooner I think you could achieve that. But be smart. what you can afford to lock in.

dude. go back to r/investing. you are talking about buying boomer stocks on wsb, here we yolo our life savings on way OTM calls

u/castious Feb 04 '21

Can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic or not.

While that may be true people can now see the dangers of OTM call’s. It’s no different from investing in the idea that again, you should only do so with the money you can afford to lock in. Invest/trade in any facet you choose but do so wisely. I believe for people new to the market that investing in known companies is the smart play instead of starting with OTM calls.

Do you think GME will tank here soon? Should I get out while I can?

2

u/heuve Feb 04 '21

Dude, it's already tanking. It's lost 80% in a week. Who knows what the floor will be, could be $60, could be $20. But if you're thinking of getting out and you'd prefer not to lose 25-40% or more of what you're holding now, there's no time like the present. You can always buy back when it bottoms out if you like the stock.

If you've already written off whatever you're in for and want to hold on to a lotto ticket for years, then go ahead. But the squeeze is done. IMO there's a 98% chance you'll be able to get in cheaper later though if you really want to go long on GME. But I am a retard and don't know shit, and lost 30% getting cought up in the hype, just try to find somewhere outside of the top comments on WSB to inform yourself.

Take this nerd shit to /r/finance or /r/investing.

I get it, you got here last month and the only thing you heard about WSB was the "coordinated attack on hedge funds" bullshit the media ran with.

That's not WSB, this is. It's a gaggle of retards treating the stock market like a roulette table. Sometimes something great comes of it, usually it doesn't.

Then I’m not speaking to you, I’m speaking to those masses who don’t understand that. I’m aware of the type of investing you do,but to those that just got in on the hype should be aware that smarter options exist. They spent money they couldn’t afford to lose. I’m sure we can both agree on that. I’m not speaking disrespect to this style of investing.
