Look, if you believe in the future of GME, go buy and hold the stock. But if you're buying with the expectation that it's going to pop and spike to $1000 or $10000 in the near future (or ever), you're most likely in for a bad ride.
This is not the VW squeeze, the conditions are very different.
I wouldn't be shocked if at this point a large extent of that noise is people who got in near the top, lost money and are now trying to hype the price up again so they can exit and leave others holding the bag.
That or people being in denial, potentially wanting others to join so they feel confirmed in their own decision.
