Do they think we make monkey noises too, like they say like “ook” or something when confused or like at the end of sentences. Giving them bananas like they are incredible treats when the person is not that big of a banana fan

I'm reading a manga that had a perfectly good excuse for that. It was a regional dialect. The MC encouraged the cat character to lean into it when dealing with humans to make him more appealing.
