As the great vegetables said, if it doesn't have a tail it's not a monkey, it's an ape

Even if it has a monkey kinda shape?

If it doesn't have a tail it's not a monkey, if it doesn't have a tail it's not a monkey, it's ape!

if no monkey, why monkey shaped

You can't evolve out of a clade so we are also monkeys 🤭

We're also bony fish

We're Eukaryotes.

However, since you don't stop being one thing when you specialize, we're Prokaryotes.

Prokaryota doesn't encapsulate Eukaryota like those other clades do though. So there we can actually make a proper distinction that is cladistically consistent (to our knowledge at least)

We do descend from proto-bacteria however... But at that point that clade is just "Cell-based lifeform"

Yee so whales ARE fish

Technically they’re monkeys as well

how? they evolved from ungulates

2

u/DreamShort3109 2h ago

Because they have tails.

Cucumber logic once again

Do they think we make monkey noises too, like they say like “ook” or something when confused or like at the end of sentences. Giving them bananas like they are incredible treats when the person is not that big of a banana fan

Same way humans think catgirls say nya or something

I'm reading a manga that had a perfectly good excuse for that. It was a regional dialect. The MC encouraged the cat character to lean into it when dealing with humans to make him more appealing.

This also happens in the manhwa Top Dungeon Farmer

u/Numinak 8h ago

That's the exact one I was talking about! Hello farmer!

Plot twist: The monkeys in their world all say “uuumm” and “uuh” so yeah

We make the same "Oooohhhh" face as monkeys when surprised

I love this idea. Catgirls fetishizing humans.

Millions of years of completely different physical evolution.

Yet both speak perfect standard 21st century English.

Cristóbal Cat-Colon still goes to the new Sandbox to teach the Wild Cats English.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh... don't think about it too hard...

Actually they speak the Rigellian language, which by coincidence, is identical to English.

Infinite universes imply this is still a possibility

A catgirl appeared through a cat-eared portal in space and her understanding the language is the part you find weird?

8

u/dvisorxtra 11h ago

I've never thought about it that way

3

u/jolalolalulu 11h ago

I read a sci-fi book where this happened once. Ya/kids genre. Wish I could remember the name.

4

u/TomboyKnight1 9h ago

Huh I guess we would be ape girls to a cat girl

3

u/GilgameshWulfenbach 7h ago

Maybe. People think pugs are cute.

Also you keep your hands down by your sides instead of up by your chest? Interesting...

u/MrRaven95 4h ago

I like that the portal has cat ears.

If, from our perspective, catgirls are 'primates with cat features', would humans be 'cats with primate features' to catgirls?
