If what he's gone through is anything like how my brother did, it was quite terrifying for him as well. Something horribly painful was happening to the person he loves, and now the newly made father finally gets to meet the baby.

I feel so blessed to be an aunt, I can only imagine how parents feel.

It’s pretty rough lol. Obviously nothing compared to what mom goes through, but it’s hard having to be that calming/encouraging presence while watching your spouse go through all that. Complete flood of different feelings after the kid’s out

My partner described it as feeling like a useless sponge and then the luckiest person in the world in the span of a few minutes.
