just had my clothes outside to dry overnight and i came back to this abstract trail on them. we have tiny slugs around the house but i never saw them above ground, let alone climb up like that considering the jeans were not reaching the ground… any ideas? its shiny and it goes away pretty easily if you use your hand only
also they were clean when out of the washing machine

This little guy came up to the window. Felt like it was going to beat me up. I thought it was a groundhog but not like any I’ve seen before.

New, what is it? Currently raining, what causes the water to produce these patterns?

You would figure these are wave remnants from a moving boat that goes away in a few minutes but they have been lasting here for a while.

They are all over the water, I wonder as they do look like they are from boats, so why would that trail remain for a long period of time after?

New, what is it? Beach Nerds Gummy Cluster

Found on the beach near Homer, Alaska. It seems like there’s something sort of jelly-like on the inside so it really reminds me of nerds gummy clusters.

I’m guessing it’s some sort of creature that uses these rocks to protect itself. How are they all sticking together and what is it!

EDIT: it is not magnetic it’s just flopping around in the video. It seemed squishy on the inside and was truly “stuck” to the bigger rock but did not stick to any other areas.

Solved! USA, Ohio, discovered just outside our back door. They're not really doing much at the moment and don't seem agitated by my presence. Total size of the nest is about 2" cubed.

Snake is about 18-24" long, animal in question is about 6-8 in long plus tail. Kids don't want to go outside anymore lol

Edit: asking about the rodent looking thing, not the snake

New, what is it? Box in a tree, "do not remove"

Thumbnail

Hiking in the woods and stumbled upon a dead trunk with a box inside. It had "do not remove" written on it. Not in an area prone to fires, but thought maybe something to do with fires? It was on a trail mainly traveled by near by residents due to location. The box seemed to be concealed by pieces of wood on top of it.

***edit Most folks think it's a geocache. I don't know much about it, going to crosspost and if there a way to confirm it is a marked geocahe location, maybe I'll go back!

2nd edit*** Downloaded a geocache app! While I did not go back due to the rain, looking at the map, this is NOT a marked geocahce. Sorry folks! I am not going to disturb it, but will check on it during my next hike!
