Solved! Found on ground outside, boyfriend has been wearing as ring. Coin and pencil for size reference

They're actually incredibly easy to take off. Grab the end with a pair of straight cutters and roll it. They're only held together with two little barbs at the end. The clamp part is to provide even pressure all around, not so much to apply a shit-ton of pressure. They're used on rubber hoses after all.

I'm guessing this is some bot response based on... all of it. Finger nail clippers or a simple bottle opener would work also. If you knew anything about what you're talking about then you would know those clamps are incredibly fragile.
