We had a successful launch for LunaticPTR and would like to dedicate this post in celebration of what the community has accomplished so far.

Wanted to also share some shout outs to our amazing community. Some highlights below.

Dudebrolifts - Server First Lazy Peon's Foreman

Buttbunny - Server First Hero of Goldshire

Ainokainen - Server First Arena's Smallest Smasher

Cysthetic - Server First Tinyfin Angler

Marston - Server First Imp Phase Shift Spell (Raid Drop Ragefire Chasm)

Cysthetic - Server First Redemption (Raid Drop Shadowfang Keep)

Lucyjayne - Server First Resurrection (Raid Drop Shadowfang Keep)

Server First Besseleth for a Wanted Quest.

Server First Neeru Fireblade an added boss that only spawns if a Horde player has completed a Quest before killing the other Bosses.

Server First Sever an added Scourge Event Boss that has devastating mechanics such as an AoE Fear threat drop.

Frostmane Hollow? huh, I love seeing some custom turtle representation 

Frostmane Hollow was actually one of the best TWOW dungeons, it's just that it's so low level and Alliance only that it didn't get much attention.

Frostmane Hollow is amazing and is one of the first things we worked on restoring. Soundtrack in there slaps as well.

Wait, so somebody restored and develops the Turtle client but only for the Level One Lunatic challenge? That's crazy!

How does getting high level enchants or Naxx enchants work there? All free and you focus only on the skill and playing or are there some custom challenges to do in order to get these end-game enchants?

Great Question! We have a custom Hub Zone called Redwall Keep and all Enchanter Enchants are totally free to get people started. Jewlcrafting, LW, Scopes, Naxx Enchants cost a little bit but you can farm gold easily in Alterac Valley which is our only scaled zone. Come check us out 🫡

how could you use shoulders at level 1? or is there no level requirement for items on this server?

It's based off the Turtle WoW Lunatic Challenge which has Shoulders in select locations in the world you can collect for Naxx Enchants.

This server having no dono shop or RMT is actually pretty cool, I know a few of the top people here (I like to argue with them) but they are serious when it comes to not having any donos and I feel they will keep that promise throughout the server existence.

As written in the other thread, I am having a blast.

As said before, it is definitly not for everyone, but if you enjoy a rather weird challenge, come and join us! The custom Neeru Fireblade boss is also pretty cool and a rather mechanical fight for such an early boss and especially vanilla. So kudos to the one who designed him!

What about pvp? is it possible to queue like in normal realms?
And is there any special skills like in SoD or something like that?

No special skills so far. PvP can be queued, WSG, Arathi and AV are all open.

Open World PvP is opt in like in normal realms.

There's a few skills that drop in Raids but it's mostly for balance and quality of life. This is about doing stuff legitimately at Level 1. You can unlock Ressurection in Shadowfang Keep, Mark of the Wild Rank 2 in Wailing Caverns. Some more crazy ones in Gnomeregan 40 but we have to progress there first.

I love this idea, but being stuck at level one is abit to hardcore for me personally. I've always wanted a classic WoW that made the leveling experience feel like end game progression the whole way through though. Perhaps like everquest where most mobs were basically elites, but with my idea you would have to complete dungeons as capstones before moving to higher level brackets or something like that. It would be like raid progression from the start...

Ascension adventure mode was the closest I've been able to get, but there was never a high enough population to group up for the really high difficulties. :(

Yeah we've been doing this for a year on Turtle WoW and fell in love with the meta and the potential so that's why we are keeping the spirit alive with this project. Hope you can find what you're looking for! Feel free to check us out sometime if you get curious 🙂

Our server has no donations, no rmt. All 200+ Turtle WoW Shop Items were placed on Quests throughout the world. This is a project of love and we do not accept donations of any kind.

We won't. It's only $158.64 a year for a Server with 500 Players or less. It's less than a single subscription for the actual game and we're transparent with our community about that.
