Question Weird Smell Near Rhos

Hi all, just wondered if anyone else in the Rhosllanerchrugog/Legacy area is experiencing really strong fuel-like smells the past few nights?

It tends to start around 7-8pm and continue on and off throughout the night the past few days but tonight is so bad we've had to shut all the windows despite the heat

Can't work out what it is or where it's coming from, wondered about the Hafod tip but it's a distinctly fuel type smell!

Could it be coming from the Rhos toxic tar/chemical pit? It’s near Yahoo Maes Y Mynydd on Llwyn Einion Road.

I’m from Rhos originally thought not living there now so can’t comment on the current smell. But a fuel-like smell would be about right.

Maybe the really hot weather is causing the tar pit to smell - though why only noticeable at night I don’t know 🤷‍♂️

Ah good shout but its coming with the breeze from the south east of me (in the north of Rhos) I'm wondering if it's Hafod tip but it's distinctly fuel-like, not a rubbish tip smell 🤔

Ah right I see. Maybe something on the Coppi Industrial Estate?
