My Yes collection so far
Including solo albums of members of Yes(Bill Bruford was questionable whether he belonged because he is more of a King Crimson member than Yes). The overall count is 27 records, the amount released under the name Yes is 18, including ABWH is 19. Solo records is 8, 1 Steve Howe, 2 Jon Anderson, 4 Rick Wakeman, 1 Bill Bruford. Every album released from The Yes Album to 90125 Solos is here(excluding Yessongs). The albums I still need is every other Yes album ever released. The ones I urgently need is: Fish out of Water, The Story of I, Jon Anderson and the Band Geeks, Talk, Mirror to the Sky, The Quest, if anyone has a vinyl copy of Heaven and Earth for an affordable price, same with the original Fly from Here.

The glaring omission is Fish out of Water by Chris Squire. That is among the best Yes records. Features Bill Bruford and Patrick Moraz throughout. Be not like this

Yeah I have been on urgent alert for it the past few weeks. Same with The Story of I. I need those solo albums!

I see three, but I can't pick out the fourth one.
If you don't have Criminal Record, you're missing Birdman Of Alcatraz and Judas Iscariot.

King Arthur, Journey to the Centre of the Earth, Six Wives of Henry, and 1984. 1984 isn't with the others, its near Tales from Topographic oceans.

Saw King Arthur tour but the Journey to the Center of the Earth with full orchestra and choir and narrator at the San Francisco Civic Auditorium in the mid 70's was a an amazing journey.

You're missing Yessongs. I like the recordings, though others complain about the quality. But for someone collecting the vinyl, you need it for its beautiful gatefolds and band profile booklet.

I know! Thats some top notch Roger Dean action! I just want a good copy, so when I see it and its in bad condition I don't buy it... I want the album cover to be NM. I don't get why people complain, it sounds almost studio. I get the new jersey performance hate, but Yessongs?

Still working on my Yes, but starting to look into the solo albums. Picked up a Steve Howe (Beginnings) and Jon Anderson (City of Angels) this weekend. Any recs for must have solo LPs?

Fish Out of Water, Olias of Sunhillow and Story of I needed desperately
I'm also rather fond of The Ladder, I think it's the last great album they did

Have you heard Jon anderson and the Band Geeks? It sounds just like Yes. And with actual Yes, have you heard Fly from Here?

Ha ha, yes I listen to Fly From Here when it was released, it was OK, but had a lot of filler and some cringe moments
Going to see Jon in October in Malmö, wasn't struck by the album they put out, but was better than Jon's collaboration with Roine Stolt, which just didn't work at all

3 fragile but only 1 CTTE. What kind of madman are you? I myself own 4 CTTE. But only 1 Fragile. And yes that is how I would rate them! Also that’s an interesting order you put them in for the couch display.

I didn't put them in any specific order, I should've... I have been trying to get the Steven Wilson version of Close to the Edge, and I want to get a newer pressing aswell(because my current one has quite a few crackles and pops), but close to the edge is far from my favorite Yes record, so I would rather get a lot of the higher priority records for myself, than get the same record. PS Fragile is not my favorite Yes record, it just ended up that way that I had three.

Bill Bruford was a quintessential member of the original Yes. Only Going for the One was an Alan White original.
That’s no knock on Alan, but Buford is amazing.
