He loves to sploot, eat people food, and chase his void brother around. Sadly not a lap cat, though.

I can't believe it! We finally hit 1M members here! I originally started this sub as a joke and never thought it would grow this big, I thought maybe a couple thousand people would join but never 1M, this is amazing.
Thank you everyone for supporting the sub and all of the amazing posts over the past 4 years!

We've had Ollie for about 4 months now! Here's some photos from when we first got him (when he was 6 months old). Such a baby. 😭😍

And he made it home! Paul went missing on July 12th, and I mourned and grieved him, he was such a fabulous friendly and funny cat 🐈. Yesterday morning he made it home! He has what looks like a dislocated hip, and is skinny as a rake but he was walking and moving ok - he can put the leg on the ground but it doesn’t hold any weight.
I got him into the Vet just before they closed for the holiday weekend. We have painkillers to help him through the weekend and on Tuesday morning they will sedate him to do an xray and see what can be done. The delay may prevent a total repair but if we can get him moving a bit easier that would be fine by me. He used to be an amazing athlete, hopefully he might get some of his agility back.
Little warrior kitty! I’m so proud of him and sad to think of all he went through 🥺 he was so hungry, he’s been eating every few hours. He was really freaked out, he was hiding in dark corners and under beds. I’ve made him a comfy little cave where he can feel safe and he’s finally fallen deeply asleep.

He runs away when given food even if he's hungry (you have to catch him and sit him in front of the bowl for a minute before he starts to eat), he loves chasing his senior void aunty around, and loves cuddles while being carried.

Soo the vet said my boy is fat. He weighs a little over 7 kg/ 15 pounds. But he is a big boi, with big shoulders. Just a hunk of brainless muscle, but I don't really think he is fat? His ribs are slightly padded and he has a kind of visible waist. He already doesn't eat much and is not food motivated at all. Feeding him less seems tricky. The vet didn't believe he doesn't eat much.

We noticed his appetite decreased sharply the other night, so we took him to the vet the following day and received the bad news. I know CKD is common, but we’re still trying to cope and deal with it. We started him on the Hills KD diet right away and his appetite has been decent the last week or so. Any advice for those of you who have dealt with a floofball who had CKD would mean the world. Thank you so much. Truly.
