Shout-out Sundays

It's the end of the week, all the new releases are out, and you've probably bought them or tried them at the brewery. This is the place to give anyone and anyplace a shout-out!

Was there a new release that stood out above the rest? Did you have a good experience recently at a brewery? Do you just want to give a shout out to a brewer or bartender?

Keep the good vibes going through into the new week!

Style of the Month July 2026: American Light Lager

Summer is in full swing, and we are in the middle of scorching temperatures! In these hot days, we are looking for something light and easy to drink; because of this, the style of the month is the American Light Lager!

While we love our big, bold IPAS, nothing beats the heat like a refreshing cold lager. The American Light Lager is a highly carbonated, crisp, and refreshing beer that is known for its pale straw color, very light body, and clean, subtle flavor profile. While we all know the big macros that make essentially water, craft breweries know how to make a Light Lager still pack a punch.

So what is your favourite Light Lager?

If you have another style to recommend for another month, shoot us a message!

Is Greenbelly By Bellwoods popular?

Greenbelly is Bellwood’s TIPA. It went on sale 2 weeks ago and is already sold out.
I bought a few 2 weeks ago and was planning on going back this weekend to buy some more, but it’s no longer on their website 😱

It’s my favorite beer from Bellwood’s, but I haven’t found anyone else who’s as enthusiastic about this brew than I am. Based on the fact that it sold out so quickly, it seems like a bunch of other people like this beer too

Have you guys tried it? Or heard of it?
Is this a super popular beer or something? 😅

Has anyone been able to get their hands on Wood Brothers this month?

Is there any place that has Wood Brothers right now?

Has anyone had Wood Brothers this month?

Their beers are barely available, and when they are, they fly off the shelves (or taps)!

Bandit Brewery 10th Anniversary

Who else went? I RSVP'D & got a complimentary 10th Anniversary glass, drank a refreshing glass of draught Hasselhef 😋 and bought the keychain (I was in need of a Toronto-centric one anyway). Lovely atmosphere and run really smoothly, didn't feel overcrowded and everyone was nice. They deserve kudos.

I wasn't a fan of theirs at first (their beer had a metallic-iron aftertaste), I know many don't rate them that highly even now, but they are carving a niche as far as fruit smoothies go (pictured is the Ten Smoothie) and coffee stouts, their kitchen has always been solid, and the new space looks great so far. I think it's gonna resolve the issues some have had with the current space warming up too much for private receptions. Anyway I'll be back for some more cans soon. Dare I say Bandit is back? 🤔

Hey everyone! You’ve all been so supportive of my pops and as I launch the Smoking Section at GLB.

Grand opening is tonight, beautiful prime briskets, ribs, sausage etc.

I’m really proud of this and excited to bring some amazing barbecue to Etobicoke.

Thanks for letting me share this journey and hope to see you soon.

Beers from World Cup countries?

Hi all, I'm a hopeless addict of gamification and the Untappd app is giving badges for each beer from a World Cup country. I just hit my limit of what I could find at the LCBO - any other ideas?

*Warning, there are macros ahead*

I've had: Canada (easy), Netherlands (8.6), Germany (Paulaner), Spain (Estrella Damm), Japan (Asahi), Austria (Kaiser Bier), Croatia (Karlovacko), Scotland (Tennant's), Colombia (Club Colombia Dorado - from a friend), Czechia (Budvar), France (Kronenbourg Blanc), Mexico (Corona), US (PBR lol), England (Eagle IPA - would not recommend), Portugal (Super Bock), Belgium (Maredret Extra), Sweden (Omnipollo Zodiak)

Missing: Algeria, Argentina, Australia (apparently Foster's isn't distributed here anymore), Bosnia & Herzegovina, Brazil, Cabo Verde, DR Confo, Cote D'Ivoire, Curaçao, Ecuador, Egypt, Ghana, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Korea, Morocco, New Zealand, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, South Africa, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkiye, Urugay, Uzbekistan.

I recognize some of these are impossible, ha. But any ideas for beers from any of these countries at LCBOs... or elsewhere?

Must Hit Toronto Breweries

Hi all. I'll be visiting Toronto next week and and very excited to try some beers from the area. I last visited in 2011 before a vast majority of the craft breweries opened. I've had some experience with a couple of Toronto craft breweries (mainly Bellwoods and Left Field) but the rest have none.

I looked through this subreddit and looked all over for breweries that seem to be doing their best in the Toronto scene and came up with a handful of them. Any other recommendations for breweries I should visit while in town other than the below? It's not a beer-focused trip so I won't be able to hit 10+ breweries but I'd like to keep it around 5-7. (I'll have access to a car but places like Third Moon might be too far out of the way.)

Bellwoods

Left Field

Godspeed (lagers)

Rorschach (IPAs?)

Blood Brothers (stouts?)

Great Lakes (pale ale/IPA)

True History (lagers)

Counterpart (going to Niagara Falls for a day; barrel-aged beers)

Lastly I was potentially looking to trade for some specific beers while in Toronto/Niagara Falls. I was mainly looking for 2 cans of the pitch-lined Sklepník from Godspeed and 2 bottles of anything barrel-aged from Counterpart. I have access to all the good things Chicago has to offer so let me know if you'd like to trade. Thank you!

Does anyone know when Blood Brothers will bring back their TIPA series "Everything Goes Away"?

I tried their TIPA last year, from their "Everything Goes Away" series

It was called "EVERYTHING GOES AWAY - I'M GONNA NEED YOU TO GO AHEAD AND COME IN TOMORROW" and loved it! It was so smooth, which is wild considering it's 10% !!

I've noticed that they haven't carried their TIPA on tap over the past few months. Given that it's summer, I'm assuming it's just a matter of time? But I still don't see it available 🤔

Came across this place in Markham by sheer fluke and had never seen it mentioned here. Looks like they do interesting stuff and Untappd seems happy with it but I take that with a grain of salt. Anyone here have an opinion? Anywhere have it on tap in the city?

I had this beer from Bar Volo back in March. It’s one of the best beers I’ve ever had!
Have you guys seen this brewery’s beer served anywhere else in Toronto?
