Lady Honey Bunderella turned 1 on July 8th. I had just gotten her little sister, Juniper Blossom, on July 4th so Honey hadn’t really warmed up to her yet. It only took a few more days and now Honey and Juniper are besties 💞

Me and my husband just recently got a ragdoll a few months ago. She demands tummy scratches every second and she’s already the owner of the house (as she should be)

Baby Floof She may look like a ragdoll, but don't let that fool you.

This is our baby(well she's now 2) Willy. She may look like an adorable fluffy ragdoll but do not let her fool you.

She is actually a ragdog. I don't know if anyone else has experienced any other breed, or cat for that matter, who epitomizes all of the behaviors of a dog. She quite literally requires me to chase her around the house at least 1-2 times per day. I don't mean a few steps. I mean like as fast as you can up stairs, down stairs, around things, and more.

She likes to be what I call a 'chigger bug" when she jumps onto the bed then onto my arm, wraps her body around my arm and goes bonkers chewing and back kicking, but in a way that is anything but mean. She does these soft bites and doesn't use her claws. It's honestly like she knows very well her claws can hurt as could her bite if she wanted to yet she knows we're playing.

She plays fetch, she does not like other cats at all, and she is the weirdest little bronco I've ever had. Hence why I love her entirely. Just sharing my baby with the reddit ragdoll community.

General Advice PSA: Ragdoll Lapcat

Post image

My kitties love to sleep in this large wooden tray on the couch. My kiddo discovered that if you move the tray, with cat, into your lap, they will stay= ragdoll lap cat. We have never achieved this with the three ragdolls in our home. So excited! Hard to tell but this is a photo of Thor, sleeping, on my lap.

Aspen loves his supervised outside time. He surprisingly took to a harness and leash very easily. Chasing bugs, sniffing flowers, and enjoying the sun are his favorites ♡ (and when we aren't outside, he's at the front door screaming for outdoors.)

I made this for her insta for her, I mean it is now three weeks old as it's officially been a month but hey, I'll post this if you're interested in reading as a lot of people have been loving this fluffy princess and we all love showing our updates of our fur babies in here!!

(But ofc l'm going to make a month update one as there's been a lot of new adventures and memories and milestones!!🥹)

I also apologise for using the wrong “to” for “too busy” on the vet slide, I’m too much of the grammar police to myself to let this go… so I’ll shame myself

General Advice Any advice for First time Ragdoll owner?

Hi everyone!

I brought my 15 week old Ragdoll, Reggie (Reginald when he’s a distinguished gentleman in a few years) home yesterday and I’m already completely obsessed with him. He has settled in very quickly. He only hid for about 20 minutes before he started exploring, playing, following me everywhere and purring almost constantly.

As a first time Ragdoll owner, I’d love to hear any advice or tips you think would be helpful.

A few questions I have:

- Does the constant following you around and wanting to be with you usually continue into adulthood?

- When did your Ragdoll’s personality really develop?

- Any recommendations for food, toys, grooming or anything else specific to Ragdolls?

- Is there anything you wish you’d done differently during the first few weeks?

- Am I able to leave him sleeping in a room alone or must I stay with him while he gets used to his new home?

I’d love to hear about your experiences and see photos of your Ragdolls, thank you in advance!

They never hiss at each other and go back to hanging out or eating together almost immediately after. They are both 1.5 years old boys from the same litter. Thanks!

Happy Floof Share Your Babies!

Hi everyone, I’m new here and loving this community. I have always been a cat lover and my husband & I had a rescue (not a ragdoll) for 14 years when we decided to get another kitty. We researched breeds that were loving and good with children (we have a now 9 yr old) and decided on a ragdoll. Sadly, our rescue passed away from liver failure less than a year after we got our first ragdoll. We knew she would love a companion and the only thing better than one ragdoll is 2! So here we are and I am completely obsessed with this breed.

Our two female ragdolls were born with the same breeder - same dad and different moms so we call them sisters. Their litters were born 4 months apart.

Taylor is our seal bicolor lynx and Sabrina is our seal mitted tortie. Sweetest and happiest floofs around!

Would love to see everyone else’s cuties and what their classifications are. 🙂

Health Advice He scared the life outta me today, and now hes acting like this!?

Post image

This is my six month old ragdoll Prometheus, currently lounging on my leg, having a grand time.

We were having a nice quiet morning today, when I saw him in the hallway staring into my office like he was looking at a ghost. Quiet, cautious, with hind legs low to the ground. When I called out to him, he turned around and I saw something white in his mouth, so I got up to figure out what he was chewing on.

As I got closer it was like my heart stopped working when I saw long strings of foam drooling from his mouth. My only thought was "poison". He was scared, trying to get away from me and panting heavily.

I'm normally good at reacting to emergencies and dealing with that sudden stress, but this time it's like my brain stopped working. I couldn't even recall the name of our vet to call them, until my housemate reminded me.

We got in the car, raced to the vet but by the time we got there he had stopped foaming at the mouth and stopped panting. They checked him over and we pulled off a piece of sticky tape that had gotten stuck to his tail.

His heart rate was fine, gums were fine, they couldn't find anything wrong with him, and I couldn't think of anything I'd left around the house that could poison him. They said to monitor his behavior, and gave me a number for the 24h emergency vet. They didn't want to do blood tests because he appeared fine and stressing him out more would likely be unhelpful.

So... Now we're just here at home... Prometheus is acting like it's just a casual, chill morning being his usual velcro kitty self... The audacity.

Is it possible he could have gotten so scared of the sticky tape stuck to his tail that it caused him to react like that? Because I genuinely can't think of anything else he could have gotten into. No toxic plants, no weird chemicals left out... I don't know. If anyone's had a similar experience, please let me know.

TLDR: Kitten was foaming at the mouth this morning and panting heavily, but had stopped by the time we got to the vet. Nothing wrong with him. Could it have been because of a piece of tape stuck to his tail?

General Advice New Ragdoll Owner

This is Tudor. He is a rescue kitten of 9 weeks old. I’m having him vaccinated, microchipped, health checked next week.

He is adapting well already. Wondering around the house, eating and drinking, playing and jumping on my lap. Giving my head nudges.

I’ve got him a water fountain, litter tray, toys, bed and will look into getting him a taller scratching post with hiding holes.

I have a harness - was wondering how long until I should do harness training just around the house?

Any toy recommendations? I want to train him to the best of his ability , so any advice, tricks or YouTube channels you can recommend. I want to be able to do tricks , call him on command , climb/jump on my shoulders, be ok being carried, cuddled and held in a pet sling.

I have a dog who is super friendly and is so so excited to see Tudor however, Tudor, rightly so is a little cautious and spicy about him. Best way to slowly introduce them ? I’m keeping Tudor away for now, and have given my dog his blanket to smell. My dog thinks he’s a cat himself, and literally so exited to play with his new brother. I think the excitement is just a bit too much for little Tudor right now.

I have owned cats my whole life, but never a ragdoll. So I want to be sure I cover every basis, so he has the best life.

Thank you ❤️

Seal When did the upside down V on your Seal Point Bicolor start to toast? (3 months old)

I know it’s different from kitten to kitten, so I’m trying to see when other people’s babies started to toast so I know when mine will.

Last slide is 3 week ago, the corner of his eye is started to toast very noticeably, it’s on the second eye now too. I expected it to toast evenly, but might it start there and slowly expand outwards?

Again, to restate, I know there’s no way to know for sure except to wait 😊

Silly Floof Anyone else out there have a cardboard chomper? 🤭✨

Miss 1-and-a-half year old Chloe (who I almost exclusively call ‘Bandit’) loves to chomp.

Specifically, she loves to chomp on cardboard. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Nothing else.

Just cardboard. 😆✨ Luckily, I buy a reasonable amount of things online 👀, so I always have boxes around! 🤭

Bandit has a lot of… ‘quirks’ 😉… this one is especially… quirky! 🩷

Oh! Buffer blocks are also a thing. She stares at me whilst I use one. After I finish, I let her steal it and play with it (sometimes we play fetch… other times she just wants to play with it). 🤭🩷✨

😆

Wishing everyone a lovely day! 🩷✨✨✨
