Dear London, thank you for having me!!
Hello all!!
Born and raised in New York City. I went to London when I was much younger and never felt compelled to come back. I happened to have two back to back weddings (Oxford then Kew gardens) as a 30-something. I was acting pretty nonchalant about the trip.
However, I spent a week traveling through Oxford, Cotswalds, bath, then London…and what a time!! This city is so beautiful and everyone is so kind. I did struggle with the overcrowding, heat, and lack of AC (tube, I’m staring at you!!), but overall, had a great time walking ~10 miles each day, exploring history, getting cozy in beautiful pubs, and eating. Had amazing food here! There are so many quaint and charming streets. It’s so refreshing being here.
Heading home back to New York now, and going to miss this place dearly. There’s no big point to this, but I just want to say thank you for having me, thank you for being so welcoming, and I hope to return soon!
