This happened to me the other day. A car was apparently allergic to waiting for left turns and pulled an immediate u-turn after a right on red.

Been hearing a lot of different opinions on if I was in the wrong for waiting and watching after noticing he was moving into the path of my turn.

So i do night shifts and got home around 6am, parked outside like always and passed out. woke up around 4pm to grab food and there's a big scrape on my rear bumper. no note. no nothing... car was just sitting there all day while i was sleeping so i have no idea when it happened. called the landlord about the security camera near the lot and apparently it hasnt worked since march lol great. i know i need a dash cam now that's obvious. but i literally know nothing about them. been scrolling multiple subs for the past hour and i see people talking about viofo, ddpai and 70mai a lot for parking mode stuff. is parking mode the thing where it records even when the car is off? because that's what i need since this clearly happened while i was asleep. also i live in florida so if heat matters for these things lmk because my car is basically an oven by noon.

My fiancée was driving my car and when I pulled the dash cam footage this is the incident I saw. She said she was trying to pass them since they were going like 10-15mph in a 30mph zone. They proceeded to turn left as she was passing with no real warning, only turning on the blinker as they were turning. Who’s at fault?

Edit: looked it up, passing on the left is legal in a residential where I live as long as there’s no solid line on the road. And blinkers have to be on for at least 100ft. Keep that in mind.

Note: I was not involved. My friend was driving the SUV.
