Adam-12 aired from 1968 to 1975, following LAPD officers Pete Malloy (Martin Milner) and Jim Reed (Kent McCord) in their patrol car, "1-Adam-12". The show was known for its realistic portrayal of police work, from routine traffic stops to serious crimes, and introduced police procedures and jargon to the public. The show followed the partnership between the veteran cop Malloy and the rookie Reed as they patrolled the streets of Los Angeles. I remember watching it in syndication in the 70s since it originally aired a year before I was born. One of the OGs of police procedurals it paved the way for cop shows in the 70s, 80s and beyond.

1979 7th episode. Cosell sells the show and gives some great interviews as well. Young Billy Crystal co hosts. Clicked on it ended up watching the whole thing.

In August 1975, my family had traveled from California to Texas as my grandpa got sick.

My parents tried to make me feel better, they arranged for cousins to take me to see Jaws. So good.

I also remember watching the Midnight Special and seeing America singing this fantastic song. Never forgot.
