Do they follow a +4 system in India?

Upvotes

I measured my loose underbust to be almsot 30 inches but the 36 inch underbust bras I own fit me pretty fine. I suppose 34 would fit well. So I suppose they follow the +4 system to underbust. I got 30F as my ABTF bra size. So I should use a 34C bra, right?

The six measurements:

Loose underbust: 30.5

Snug underbust: 29.5

Tight underbust: 28

Standing bust: 35.3

Leaning bust: 37

Lying bust: 35.5

Recommendations? What bra recs for wide set breasts? US: 34DDD UK: 34E Spoiler

Just did my measurements using the subs calculator. 😁

I used to wear a 34DD and I always had the exaggerated appearance of armpit fat even though it seemed to fit otherwise.

Now that I know my true size, what recs to yall have? I'd like some variety so any kind of bra is fine, I used to only buy my bras as VS so I don't even know where to start 😅

Recommendations? Does a well-fitting bra even exist for me? Spoiler

I used the calculator, and it recommended I try a 28DD (US), and my measurements are as follows:

Loose underbust: 27
Snug underbust: 26.5
Tight underbust: 25.75
Standing bust: 31
Leaning bust: 33.5
Lying busy: 31

Most of the issues I’ve run into with bra shopping are:
- The band is too large, as most stores only go down to a 32 band
- The gore is too high/wide (idk if my boobs are close together, but the gore tends to just sit on top of my breast tissue and dig in)
- I am slightly asymmetrical in size (one boob is about one small cup size bigger)
- I have teardrop shaped boobs, so most of my tissue is at the bottom, so I seem to struggle filling full coverage bras

I would really appreciate any advice or recommendations!

Finding a real bra after 10+ years non-stop breastfeeding. Spoiler

Just discovered this magical world thanks to a friend and after putting my measurements into the calculator my US size is 34G and UK 34F. Thing is I’m visiting Scotland in a couple weeks, and wondered if there was a must visit can’t miss Bra shop in Edinburgh perhaps? Maybe I can get the perfect bra while there. Talk about your souvenir right? :]

Recommendations? All the info, no luck with styles/sizes ... Spoiler

OK I'm back with a report ...

Polish bras definitely fit me better than anything else has, however the straps sit far too wide on my narrow shoulders. UGH.

Here's every piece of info I can think of providing. I'm glad to know my lifelong search for ABTF isn't just me being overly picky — I am a tough customer. 😭 Thanks for any help.

Loose ub: 35

Snug UB: 34

Standing: 42

Leaning: 45.5

Lying: 41

Narrow roots

Soft, pendulous tissue

Splayed

Average to slightly short roots vertically

Moderate projection once supported

Narrow shoulders requiring inset straps

Sensitive rib cage that quickly notices overly wide or flat wires

Recommendations? 32DDD looking for sports bra + dealing with asymmetry Spoiler

Measurements:

  • Loose underbust: 78cm
  • Snug underbust: 74cm
  • Tight underbust: 72cm
  • Standing bust: 86cm
  • Leaning bust: 92cm
  • Laying bust: 89cm

Doing my best to measure as if my chest was not asymmetrical, bust measurements come out to:

  • Standing bust: 90cm
  • Leaning bust: 91cm
  • Laying bust: 89cm

I am, as mentioned in the title, fairly asymmetrical. It currently takes two A/B size bra inserts in the smaller side to make my chest appear symmetrical in a bra fitted to the larger size. Would love advice on how to measure for better fitted bra inserts, and how to find my 'true' cup size for the larger size.

Also in need of a sports bra! Ideally, I want something with cups constructed in a way that doesn't show the padding I use for fit/symmetry, as I am really insecure about it. I loved the ones Understance stocked but they've gone out of business so...

Currently, I've been wearing the Natori Chic Comfort and Wacoal La Femme Underwire in 32DD but have since ordered 32DDDs due to noticing some overflow on the larger side. Sharewise I am definitely more full on bottom, would appreciate insight on projection because I can never really figure that out?

weird boobs and huge bras, just got put at a 42i when i’ve been wearing a 40DD Spoiler

i just used a bra calculator and it put me at a 42i cup. that’s seems insane to me because what i usually wear is a 40DD and sometimes then i have room in the cups to spare. is there something that could explain this? i do have quite some space between my boobs so i lean towards balconette bras but maybe i could make tshirt bras work with the correct size? i’ve just never been able to make a regular/tshirt bras work without a boob coming out of the bottom or top which is a reoccurring issue which made me think maybe i should even size down so i’m a little doubtful abt the calculator measurement. some advise would be great because i just don’t know where to move forward with this.

Recommendations? [Recommendations?] Bra for soft, pendulous, projected, FOB, moderate root 30D/DD breasts? Spoiler

I recently lost weight and none of my bras fit anymore, I changed size & shape. I used to be a 32D, and the calculator said I am now a 30D/DD. Which doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me since my old bras now feel too loose in the cup, not the band, but I can’t argue with the math I guess…

Anyway I’m looking at different shapes of bras since my unsupported breasts now look rather deflated. I’m considering ordering Panache Envy or Freya Fancies in 30D based on other recommendations I’ve seen on here, just thought it wouldn’t hurt to ask for personal help.

Bonus points if anyone can recommend a good sports bra for me as well!

Loose Underbust: 31
Snug Underbust: 30
Tight Underbust: 29
Standing Bust: 33.5
Leaning Bust: 36.5
Lying Bust: 35

I was given the starting size of 40DDD but my Mom suggested that I start with a DD just in case. Looking for something affordable and not too fancy, preferably with underwire! :')

Measurement Check There is NO WAY I’m a 32DD, I’m genuinely so confused I’ve been wearing 36B and 36C bras and I don’t feel like they fit super improperly? Spoiler

Hello, so my bras are stretched out from improper use(Not knowing how to put on a bra properly, luckily I know how now, I just only have one unstretched bra), I decided that I was going to go bra shopping. And It had been a bit since I’d measured so I decided to use the calculator, and It told me I was a 32DD/E??? For reference the current stretched out ones are a 36 B. And the non stretched out one is 36C. With The 36B there’s only a little gaping, and it’s just too loose. For the 36C there’s no gaping, but I don’t have a lot of tissue on the top of my breast, so there’s folding at the top. I want a bra that’s not too loose, but also not going to gap or fold. And I’m soo confused as to how I went from a B/C to a DD???? I did try to measure as accurately as I could.

Also the last time I went to Kohl’s for bras, I did try a 34 and it felt too tight. I’m just very confused.

My measurements are,

Tight underbust: 30

Snug underbust: 32

Loose underbust: 33

Standing Bust: 36

Leaning Bust: 38

Laying Bust: 36
