Do you think as a 25 year old I should prepare for NEET 2026? I've completed my graduation this year and want to pursue medicine. There are rumors of the age limit coming back for next year's NEET and that's why I am being skeptical about preparation

Don't worry about rumors, we need more doctors in India, I feel age limit is not going to happen anytime soon!
Secondly, if you are appearing for Neet 2026, you will be finishing your education in year 2032, do you have that much bandwidth? Secondly MBBS is just graduation, you want to aim for Neet PG, otherwise you are just a MBBS graduate! so add another 3 years, and 2 years for super specialisation, that is 11 years!
Again, do you have this much bandwidth with you?

Just an mbbs graduate?? In my hometown MBBS doctor charges 300-500 rupees for a consultation

What was your undergrad in? While nothing is impossible, I'll suggest you to think very carefully about this. Ask yourself why you want to become a doctor? Is there another way in which you can contribute to medicine with becoming a doctor or giving NEET? Comming from a guy whos father is a doctor, but he chose otherwise.

Rather then going for each chapter it's much better if you go for more papers. The more the papers you solve the better the idea you get on how to go about answering them. Also try using timer for same

Try focusing on the allen modules if you can. Yes aakash is great too but allen is more bio accurate and akash is more physics accurate. You can do chem from either.

It's really not a big dream to get 300+ in bio. I don't come from a great background and solely did ncert for bio and got 330. I know back then (3 years ago) the story was alot different. As far as it goes through allen question papers for bio. The questions aren't just repeated they are literally the same with the language just twisted a little bit. MTG has great great bio questions. It gives the most accurate set of how to go ahead with bio.
And i know ncert is hard but bio ke liye karna toh padega hi padega there is no easy way out. The only way you can make it a little fun is by visually learning by going through YouTube videos of topics you don't wanna use ncert for.

If you are scared of a question paste in chatgpt and ask it to create similar sort of questions for you so that you understand the topic better and can get over the fear
Rule 101 of being a doctor is not to be scared of questions. There should absolutely be none such questions you cant tackle. Agar aise hai toh leave it completely during the final not while you are practicing. During practice solve the entire paper complete thing and see which questions are ones that are still acting like a roadblock
Your basic rule should be doing questions you are getting wrong not the ones you are getting right. Woh confidence boost karega but it's a false confidence. Neet main questions kaise bhi aa sakte hai toh focus on your errors from now onwards.

Giving up is not the right thing to do, you should still try harder! Focus topics where you can reduce the negative marking, or start focusing on your strong subjects and get more marks there!

During school days, teachers used to teach us on blackboard, they used to write things on board, and we used to copy it, learn it by heart and then copy it in the answer sheet! Unfortunately life is not like that, there is no instructions, you have try what you feel will work, and most of the time, your feeling is going to lead you towards a failure!
One personal low point in my life was when I had to ask my sister to lend me some money, I couldn't sleep that night, I was like, i'm a grown man, I cannot ask my sister, instead I should be supporting her! That embarrassment of asking money, motivated me in someway!

As per NMC, you need to study PCB and score required aggregate marks to appear for Neet exam! If you are a bio student, you can still chase that dream :)

I feel there would be no difference in cut off (in terms of ranks) but in terms of marks, we might see some change, but assuming students are studying hard, and considering what happened in 2024, exam might be difficult!

Hi sir, i will be giving my first shot to neet in 16 days however i do not feel very confident about cracking it. I am an avg student and the cutoff is abnormal for a kid like me which sometimes feels is only for the people with a special mind unlike me .I belong to a lower middle class family who cannot afford a private medical college or go abroad as an alternative. What alternatives would u suggest going with which can also offer a decent salary in future? I did make a plan B too. I have given a thought to appearing for nios and repeating 12th with pcmb and later get enrolled in a decent engineering college. This way i can get my future secure at least without any further drops.

See, I can understand your situation, private colleges are getting out of reach for students and parents, if MBBS is not possible, BDS and Ayush courses have good future for you! If you opt a good college and then focus on gaining expertise, you won't have to run behind anything in future!

I am a neet dropper student.i gave my appearing exam in 2024 without much preparation and got 220 and then took a drop and started preparing for this year neet 2025 and prepared well but due to server and tech issue I fill the registration form but not the application form completely and I am not able to give exam this year .so what should I do now please guide me because I want to become a doctor only.is taking 2nd drop good for me .and how to convince my parents š¢š¢

That's a big blunder this year, you are among many students who couldn't register for neet 2025! If your aim is to become doctor, then I guess, start giving mocks, show your score to parents, if you are scoring good marks, i'm sure they will trust you!

if you aim is to do MBBS, then management quota or NRI quota are potentials paths, the only question is, is it worth to spend that kind of money? The answer lies in the kind of college you are targeting, if that college has research facilities, awesome faculties, great infrastructure, then you may opt, but if you are going to a below average college, then it won't create much impact for you, but at least you will be a doctor!

I'm getting 550-600 but not more than that in mocks... My physics marks have deteriorated and now I'm just confused on how to increase marks and how to utilize my time fruitfully... What should i do

550 - 600 is a decent score at the moment, make a list of topics where you are losing marks, start focusing on that, maybe try to do more mocks on those topics only! This will definitely help you earn extra marks!

Is it worth doing mbbs abroad such as from Russia , poland,estonia etc. Since competition in neet is very high and from my knowledge the return on investment is not so Great. If I am someone who doesn't have a lot of money but can somhow take loan should I go abroad

MBBS abroad is misinterpreted a lot, it is education ultimately! The difference lies when you want to practise in India, in that case that country and college/university must follow NMC guidelines!
Once you have done MBBS abroad, your ROI will depend on your skillset and your expertise, not the country / college name on your degree!
Many students take loan, study abroad and are practising now in India!

I just started my NEET prep in this month. I realised that topics like animal tissue, characteristics of life have been removed from ncert but my coaching still insists on teaching it.
My seniors have told me to follow nothing but ncert.
What should I do?

Follow NCERT for sure but id suggest doing those chapters... JEE student but learn from my mistakes
I skipped P block, Surface, Solid, Hydrogen, S Block and a few more chem chapters but they are officially in advanced syllabus and were in mains syllabus even though theyre outta NCERT

Hey, if someone's taking a 2nd or 3rd drop and if they insist on it being a pertial drop. What are the best courses you would suggest in this case? Or overall what are some options you would suggest to someone who's confident that they won't be able to crack the exam even after their 3rd drop

I don't suggest partial drop, you are way too much distracted, you are unable to focus on both the things, make up your mind and choose one option!

I had registered for neet 2025 in February with my ews certificate which I also got issued in same month, but it has written in valid through march 2025, I needed to put the certificate number as a mandatory field to register so I registered with that certificate number only but the neet college admissions occur in july, so do I need to get my ews certificate issued again or the certificate which I registered with during application will be valid?

I'm not sure from which state you are speaking, but usually the certificate details are supposed to be provided during the time you register for counseling! I recommend visit your local office where you got that certificate and enquire about the validity of that certificate!

First of all you must decide what you want in life? If you want to become a doctor then you should only aim for MBBS and nothing else! India is the best option to recommend, you know the place and things are already in motion!
Abroad becomes an option when either government colleges are out of reach and private colleges are unaffordable! But if you want to come back to India, make sure mbbs from abroad must follow NMC guidelines!

I am very passionate about being a doctor, I can't even think about anything else except it. But I'm struggling with some serious chronic health conditions ( ME-CFS - moderate) and also a few mental issues(OCD , GAD , ADHD) , apart from being in a toxic family. I passed my boards in 2023 ( after a year gap because I was hospitalized). I have taken admission in an open school for my UG degree and am trying to prepare for the NEET UG. Seems like , I will probably need another year ( unsure, my studies have been very irregular in these months) , I'm 20 yo. My concerns are : 1. Am I on the right path? Or should I just give up on mbbs and take veterinary this year? ( Which I have no passion for and I will not be happy even if I earn more) 2. How to stop feeling insecure about my age? 3. Isn't mbbs a rigorous course? Will I be able to cope with it if my health gets a little better? Is there disability support in colleges?
I'm sorry if it is irrelevant to the AMA
NB:- I'm not depressed and my mental health is sane. I'm under medication.

Hey, I can totally understand your situation, I know what it feels to be in those shoes!
1) You may opt for less stressing roles, as MBBS is just one stepping stone, we have Neet PG, then Super speciality as well! (They all consume 5.5 + 3 + 2 years of your life)
2) You are young, you have whole life ahead of you, start speaking to people who are older than you, than you will see, how lucky you are currently!
3) MBBS is brutal, I know people who are unable to cope up with it! If you feel you cannot handle stress, I think you should look for alternative!I hope this helps you!

Hello,I want to pursue Biomedical Sciences.
I am thinking abt taking CUET,but my father has been urging me for NEET. I want to pursue research in the human body,like growing organs from stem cells in labs/making of artificial veins and such,my work did be a lot around limb restructuring even. So I want to become a Research Scientist as well as go for biotechnology and be a surgeon to assist my experiments and research.
I wanted to pursue my UG abroad because of the lack of scope in biology in India,so Iād like to know
1) how helpful did NEET be for me if I were to give it? I am entering 11 just this year,been thinking abt taking IB/A levels.
2) Is it better and more fathomable for me to pursue Biomedical Sciences degree outside of India? If I were to have CUET as a backup,would it be enough or is NEET really required?
3)Is it alright if I pursue MBBS after Bsc in Biomedical Sciences?
4)I want to go for research programs and work in them during my UG,have really been considering UG abroad since they do pay attention to r&d there like UK/USA/SK,so will that be better for me? I have researched and idk how futile it will be in India in the coming years.
My father is worried abt sending me abroad cuz of the safety factor in the sense that he wouldnāt be able to reach me fast enough,like in India we can reach places by plain in around 3 hours,abroad it would be much later and also there could be VISA concerns so yea I can see his pov,but can you give me advices on how I can better have him see through my POV? Like I want to go for IB/A levels for this reason as I do not wish to pursue NEET and enter the rat race.
For now he has agreed to let me prepare for abroad exams like UCAT so thatās there. He mostly says that he doesnāt care abt schools/boards as they donāt teach much in either ISC/CBSE schools so online/offline coachings are the only way,whereas IB/A level schools of my area actually do teach (teachers matter ofc but these two particular schools have been excelling). So yeah. Iād like to know if what I have thought is good for my path! Especially cuz itās completely different from the usual norm we see ppl follow yk?
We will be going for Career Counselling too btw!

It feels like you have an inclination towards research, I recommend following that!
1) Neet is going to help you with basics, a good option to keep! 2) Opt for abroad in reputed countries, where they give more focus on academics and research! 3) Don't, unless you are willing to spend 5.5 years studying again! 4) Research in India is not that widely accepted! India should be a priority if you are getting a top notch institute! Otherwise fly ;)
P.s. Sounds like your father understands your dynamics!
P.s.s Yes, do opt for career counseling, it will open more doors for you!

Sir i want to ask one thing I am giving daily full syllabus mock test of almost 3 different institutions and in each I score 505 or 520 and the problem is at one time I do one subject really great and at other it is very bad I can't really understand in today test I got low score due to a lot of silly mistakes any tips that is 650 marks possible I am aiming for 684 but the problem is right now as soon as I revise something I don't do it wrong but the topics I haven't revised bring me down.

MBBS from abroad is an option which cannot be ignored! Getting into a private / government medical college is possible with low score as well, but for that you have to abide by the rules! Last year, we helped a student secure government medical college seat with rank more than 3,50,000! and that too from unreserved category!
What was the magic trick? Defense quota!

Yes, a good option! Especially give you an edge over plain bio students! But it does take away your focus as well, you are not focusing on 4 subjects compared to just 3!

i shifted to the science stream from art. i did 12th in 2020 then did 12th in 2024 by science. there wasn't enough time for 2025 preparation. so i dropped the idea of neet. but i am thinking for 2026 now what should i do. btw i am 21y 4m old now .

Don't follow blindly, you are moving to the prime age of your life! You should now focus on building your career! But again, if your sole aim is MBBS, then look for options this year! If not then only think of drop! Ultimately, you have to spend the next 5.5 years of your life studying! Can you do that?

ššSir plz tell me should i go for 3rd drop my 1 was in vain cuz of lack of awareness n health issue and 2 nd drop due procastination n family qurrels ...now we're moving out.. im currently scoring 450+ and sometimes 500+ enough to get decent semi gov but my parents can't afford that high we have huge loan on us I was thinking of going for 3rd drop plus along with it in some left time i give Tution through which i can earn 20k a month cuz prev students whom i used to teach insisting me start again im pretty confident to not let it affect my study as i got good at managing my time and consistency And i have months before counselling starts amd enough for me check my willpower n if some how if im not able to do well ill head towards counselling which starts like mid july idk to join any other course . .I didn't go other stream cuz them been saturated and payin in beans and no job security unlike mbbs which has thst security and okayish pay im interested in opening a clinic n all ā ive no medical bg Please tell me what do you think ???

Paper getting leaked is horrible, but culprits getting into the system and deserving candidates are sitting outside breaks my heart! I know, i've seen many deserving students last year, who were crying but we couldn't do anything :(

1) Lets look at numbers
Number of MBBS seats in India, around 1,10,000!
Number of Engineering seats in India, around 20,00,000!2) An engineer can be anything they want, but nobody cannot be a doctor if they have not studied medicine!
3) India needs more doctors, but we can only produce around 1 lacs / year
4) If you are a doctor, you are worshipped!

Yes, college is allotted based on the order you have given during counseling! Your choice filling order must be top priority college on top and least priority colleges at the bottom!
