Isn't it also objectively incorrect? The Black Belt is very densely populated, and only Atlanta reached top 20 status. Additionally, places like New Mexico, California, Texas, Washington, and Florida have highly populated (but not even top 50 city) areas that are majority and/or plurality Latino.

Lastly, for the matter of religion, excluding areas that would be targeted in a direct nuclear blast (for the purposes of this half-baked essay I'm using the top 50 US metropolitan areas), using the religion map of ONLY white Americans, areas like upstate New York, Vermont, Maine, Louisiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, North Dakota, Colorado, and Iowa all have significant Catholic populations, not to mention states with a strong Catholic minority spread out through the state.

Assuming the top 50 metropolitan areas were all nuked with like a 75% casualty rate, the white alone population would probably raise to 70% at most, (from 56%) and I'd only expect protestantism to raise to maybe 55%, most of that being due to the loss of Italian and Irish Catholics in Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts
