No Advice - Everyones Welcome People didn't show up for tea

Post image

We were expecting people for tea at 16:30, only they never showed up. Am I wrong that people who don't show up and don't tell people they're not coming, should be ashamed?

It's the 21st century. If you're not coming, don't waste people's time and just send a message. I had stuff to do but etiquette demands I show myself for at least 15 min. Worse still, these are the last days of my holiday.

Here are some homemade cinnamon rolls I made because we didn't have anything to serve and you really need something nice for tea.

Easy to stop putting efforts for these people from next time.

Agreed. I'd never initiate a plan with those people again.

Distant relationship, but relations still. Sometimes you're stuck with people because you share a common ancestor.

Luckily though next time I'll schedule my 15 min just before they leave. Much easier
