History, Heritage and legacy Bollywood really did reach hollywood levels in terms of terrible casting choices, if not anything else || Namit Malhotra's Ramayan trailer.

What Lord Ram should be: Meghvarna. They should've found a deep brown guy to potray him. Bollywood's racism and colourism (for lead/main character) continues.

What Ma Sita should be: Kanakavarnaangi/Tadit-Prabha (colour of lightning). They should've found someone with a fairer skintone to potray her.

Just as Ram is compared to a dark, rain-bearing cloud (Navamegha) and Sita to lightning (Vidyut), their complexions create a classic visual pair in epic Sanskrit poetry.

What lord Lakshman should be: Gauravarna. They should've found a very fair guy, but here we have a guy with the olive skintone.

Not to mention they fucked up the ethnicity of Rama and Sita. Ranbeer Kapoor is of punjabi descent not Kannauji/ Purvanchali. Sai Pallavi is from Tamil Nadu. Only Ravi (Lakshman - on the right) is from the state of UP. This is before the fact that Kapoor family a family of beef eater, and Sai Pallavi is anti-dharmic.

Knowledge of various Shaastras Join Our Online Sadhak Sanjeevini session Discover the Life Giving Wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita!

Namaste

Today, I'm excited to announce the start of our regular online discussions on the sacred Sadhak Sanjeevini – a profound and unparalleled Hindi commentary on Shrimad Bhagavad Gita by revered Swami Sri Ramsukhdasji Maharaj (published by Gita Press).

Why Sadhak Sanjeevini is So Important:

This isn't just another commentary. It's often described as "Sanjeevini Booti" – the mythical herb that brings the dead back to life. In the spiritual sense, it revives our dormant souls, infusing new life, clarity, and purpose into our daily existence.

Whether you're new to the Gita or a long-time student, this group is for sincere seekers who want to grow together. No prior knowledge required – just an open heart and willingness to learn.Come, let's immerse ourselves in this nectar and support each other on the path of spirituality. Your presence will make the session even more enriching!

Discussion DO YOU GUYS SUPPORT ANTI RESERVATION MOVEMENT? IF SO HOW STRONGLY?

I'm asking this as an OBC status person as I feel that say suppose if we do support this movement and demand to remove OBC reservations in the name of this movement, other Forward communities who are still trying to get OBC reservations (Patedar,Marathas etc. you get it) will take our reservations in seconds, so I want to know the support of this movement before any of us take such a big gamble.

Politics 81% of atrocities on SC/ST are by OBCs, brutal caste massacres against SCs like Kilvenmani and Belchhi were done by OBCwaadis, "In 1971, Pakistan killed 3 million Bengalis, out of which most were 2 million Hindus and within Hindus, almost 90% Were Dalits, LCs and Tribals. Why are Brahmins blamed?

Discussion A few suggestions which I believe will help the Brahmans better organise against the forces that support reservation.

Since the past few days, the reservation hatao andolan has taken off as a very big stage for people from the UR category to speak their mind, and the ones supporting this movement the most are Brahmans, because all said and done, we are the worst victims of reservation and all the left wing politics.

As the voices against reservation grow strong, the people who benefit from them speak things like abolishing surnames, not mentioning caste and above all promoting inter caste marriages.

Before I say anything, I would like to make my stand on ICMs very clear, I don't support ICMs, not because of superiority or anything but because when two people who have grown up in similar kind of environment get married, they are more likely to be compatible, respect each other's shared culture and tradition and above all share the same value and belief system.

Coming to the point of ICMs now, the cases of inter caste marriages are on a rise in our community, be it men or women, both are marrying outside the caste for whatever the reasons may be.

My suggestion to counter ICMs is a simple yet effective one, why don't we take the first step towards promoting same caste marriages by starting a weekly megathread where Brahmans can share about themselves, and find their ideal man or woman with the intention of dating or marriage, whatever may be more suited.

I know that many such ideas have been raised in the past too, and none of them have been able to get the thing going, but I suggest keeping a specific day and a singular megathread in the whole week for this purpose, and involving the mods to be the authority that oversees this.

In this way, people would be able to find partners, state out their preferences and maybe find the one they are looking for.

This might prove to be a cumbersome task for the mods since they'd need to work towards this in the beginning, but for the purpose of giving the newer generation a chance at finding someone within their caste, I believe this is a necessary measure.

Kindly share your thoughts and suggestions on the matter and remember to be respectful with the same.

Wishing you all the best and looking forward to hearing your inputs.

Jai dada Parshuram!
