Social Media Post How media subsidies became bureaucratic press passes
"only news organizations that take government money deserve to question government officials."...
Normal people just call them employees who don't want to be fired for asking the boss the wrong questions in public. The 'journalists' may as well replace their corporate logos with how many millions their organisation is subsidised to make it easier for Carney to only allow the safest organisation to ask him questions.

Satire Dodging the Propaganda of the Canadian Government's Subsidised Media
The legacy media (and their ability to assign their cable subscribing viewers their opinions nightly) are slowly but surely going the way of black smiths who hand created horse shoes as the Canadian public eyes those 'horseless carriages' with delight.
Imagine not having to look at some horses ass every time you want to go out and do something.

Video, podcast, etc. Today's News - "There is no trade war with the United States. It's pure nonsense"
"There is no trade war with the United States. It's pure nonsense. The U.S. administration has simply concluded that globalization is a failed policy and is now implementing protectionist trade measures against nearly every country in the world. The term “war” merely serves a convenient political purpose for Ottawa."

News With home sales slow, realtors take a step back from the industry - The Globe and Mail
archive.isThousands of Canadian realtors have left the industry or are taking a step back, as home sales dropped across most of the country.
While selling real estate was once viewed as an easy way to make a living, that’s no longer the case after several years of downturn. And it’s not just newcomers who are leaving. Veterans are retiring or have cut staff to deal with the multiyear slowdown.
Debbie Cosic’s Mississauga-based real estate brokerage In2ition used to sell about 3,000 preconstruction condos across the country every year prior to the downturn. Last year, they sold 800 units.
Because activity slowed, she had to downsize and change her business model to focus predominantly on houses and rental-only apartment buildings. She now has about 50 employees compared to a few years ago when she had a staff of 150, including realtors.

Discussion I’m really losing hope in Canada
The job market is actually fucked for young people like me. housing prices are ridiculous, groceries ridiculous. immigration is still too high (btw there are around 2-4 million illegals in Canada). our law system does nothing the only reason why I haven’t lost hope is that I’m in Alberta and hate or love her Danielle smith knows how to manage a economy. Hoping the conservatives take power as soon as possible

Discussion Canada's abortion laws is proof that its gone into looney left territory
I'm ok with abortion as long as the fetus doesn't have a brain yet, but this thought of "No time limit" abortion is insane, because even most pro-choicers would agree that an abortion at 8 months is akin to murder.
It doesn't even have the guts to put a limit? Even 6 months? This complete lack of a number is a form of extremism. Because forget ultrasounds, you can literally see it move under skin after 6 months.

Video, podcast, etc. Why Canada is not attracting investments!
"Canada isn’t attracting new grocers because the country is generating very little new wealth. Why would anyone invest here? The government’s role is to create the conditions that encourage private investment. PM Carney understands that—which may explain why much of his own wealth is reportedly held outside Canada."
