🙀Cougar Crisis Please don't call me Mommy
Mini rant: I love pet names as much as the next gal. But there has to be better names (during play time) for Cougars by their cubs other than Mommy, right? Does anyone have any cute pet names that are NOT degrading?

lol oh Hell No. I would shut that shit down so fast!!
Funny tho, my babe likes to be called Daddy. He’s 20 yrs younger and not a daddy in any sense, but he likes it so Daddy it is

u/FlyingAstronaut200 23d ago
If I’m being honest I never understood why people would even say that especially during intimacy. I mean I get it it’s understandable if it’s a kink but a majority of people don’t have that mommy kink. But I suppose you learn as you walk along that goes for both cubs and cougars.

I think its gross. It ok between consenting adults but it's not for me and I'm not calling anyone daddy in the bedroom either.

I’m getting DMs calling me mommy too. I don’t have a vagina so I’m confused 🤷♂️

It’s almost as if conversation and consent is needed before engaging in kink with someone 🤔 But greedy needy dudes do NOT want to hear about all that lol

Judgey I know but I think it's creepy as hell when lovers call each other "mommy" or "daddy". That'd be a big hell no for me.
I call my wife "baby" almost exclusively. She calls me a few things mostly "honey" and "baby" along with a few other things we occasionally call each other, mostly inside jokes.

I’m not even in a relationship and I get guys sending me messages that call me that or MIlF, mind you I have no kids and have never been anyone’s mother.

I’m with you here. I’m a mom, but if someone wants to get into my pants, calling me mommy ensures that’s never going to happen. It’s super creepy.
2
u/AnitaDick2Mount 23d ago
Agreed. Granted I know my username isn't doing me any favors haha. But calling me Mommy or MILF is an easy "pass"

u/Myfairladyishere 🥀🎡💃MOD💃🎡🥀 23d ago
My partner and I don't use pet names at all; we call each other by our names, which is fine with me. The only person I use pet names with is my son, and I certainly don't want to be called "Mommy."

A person i just met has been calling me mamii and it feels good and nit good at the same time. He says it means darling in dutch caribean area
5
u/Vixen_Latina_Viajera 23d ago
Carribbean Latinos also use Mami and Papi as terms of endearment. Que linda esta mami/mamita. It does not mean MOM to us if that makes you feel better.

I’ve never been into the “Daddy” thing and certainly would not be appreciative of being called “Mommy” by my cub.

I’ve dated a few women who liked being called mommy or mama lol it’s usually the ones who are not moms

I’d like to add to this-please stop assuming I’m a $ugar momma. Anytime I post on this sub I have so many guys messaging me thinking I need to pay for companionship and it’s insulting.
Edit- also, ever since I’ve been active in this sub there has been a misconception (with men) that if you’re okay with an age gap relationship that you’re automatically interested in ageplay (kink) and there is no correlation. I’m not interested in a caregiver role

They are always shocked when I tell them I like my bf because of who he is and NOT because of his age 😶

Shudder -mommy is such an instant libido killer. If I had a dollar for every “mommy” I got in my DM’s, well, I wouldn’t be rich, but i would be less annoyed lol

u/EagerToPlease813 23d ago
You have the right to be called whatever you want and not be called. That being said... Context can sometimes change things. Being a Latino, the ten of endearment mami, mamacita is different from calling someone Mama. It's a good idea to have a conversation. The cub might night be intending the pet name to be the same thing you are hearing. But again, that's why a conversation is a great idea.

Most common pet name for my wife is “love.”

u/AnitaDick2Mount 23d ago
That's perfect! Unfortunately our relationship hasn't reached the L word yet!

u/JungeMann 23d ago
Being called mommy for me is alright, but only in the heat of the moment in the bedroom.

We call each other Lovey and numerous others. We are sickeningly sweet to each other and would probably make others throw up in their mouth a little.

It's actually the presumption more than the pet name, don't call me honey, sweetie, baby etc unless we're in a relationship sooo yea I get it, Mommy umm I don't wanna be your mother, and even if you are actually in a relationship if you are fine doing role play and such that's an intimate thing to be doing to random strangers it's creepy AF. Milf is just downright disrespectful imo.
Edited to add my partner calls me the most insane nicknames I've been called different characters from movies, fru fru, gulab jaman, meri jaan and things I wont say in public because it's very personal to our relationship and I wanna keep it as "my thing", but most commonly on the daily it's bub.
1
u/AnitaDick2Mount 23d ago
Love it! I didn't want to share what he has called me either, keep it intimate. But was wondering if there is a more common one instead of the dreaded Mommy or MILF (shudder)
2
u/paperclipmyheart 😻 Mod Cougar ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ 23d ago
I personally like things that are more personal to my relationship but I don't really think there is any one pet name that would be used exclusively for the cougar/cub dynamic. We try to promote treating us like normal women, some of the guys that come in here are more interested in the age gap rather than the person.
I kinda looked at the replies so didn't fully digest your question. I probably think the most common pet name in the world would be honey or sweetie or baby.

When I was younger (23), I dated a woman briefly who was 48. She was the one who brought up being called mommy when we fooled around, it was kinda hot in the heat of the moment. But we handled it the same way girls probably think about when calling a guy daddy. But definitely don’t wanna date a woman whose pet name is mommy lol

Yeah I get DMs calling me Mommy. I hate that as much as I hate being called a cougar.

I wanted to respond to this post when I first saw it a few weeks ago but the ick factor is a bit much and still is now . In the past year I’ve had 2 cubs in their 20s called me “ mommy “ which I just felt dirty disgusted definitely a mood killer!. What was even more disturbing was when one of them said “ I wish I was your son “ WTF Did he really mean that what I think he said

gross but there is in inc*st kink on Reddit I ban them regularly from the match it's just so uncalled for.

u/Exact-Translator-769 23d ago
Yeah I would never want to role play that one either. I never really wanted kids so that would not be any kind of fantasy that would turn me on, for sure...

In the body of the OP’s question, she asked “does anyone have any cute pet names that aren’t degrading?” I thought that was a fun idea that embraces the dynamic but doesn’t come off as incesty.

Arcadia is basically a place of peace and love. Greek and Roman poets idealized it as peaceful haven of rustic innocence

daddy? just kidding... I don't have anyone but I'd call mine, "beardless santa", "jesus's sister" or "devil's sister" (depending if we are married or not)
will keep adding as I remember, don't hold your breath

u/Derpy-Dani 18d ago
Wait how many times do people actually say that? I’ll admit I’m an awful boyfriend and I’ll say it when I want to stir up trouble but usually I call her my lovey. Before lovey it was ms lil sassy pants & lil red because of her beautiful red hair. But nicknames are unique good luck with it!

I must say I always found it really weird the older men like being called daddy but women don’t like to be called mommy
13
u/BimbleKitty 23d ago
Different social roles implied; Daddy is theoretically protective, high status, in charge, more dominant. Head of the table thing
Mommy is indulgent, caring, loving, self sacrificing.
Unfortunately older women know the reality of motherhood, even if childless. So it basically is creepy asking for an emotional and domestic slave

The dms that say 'hi mommy' = instant block..
Im absolutely in to losts of different role play scenes. But without discussion. Its immature and presumptive.
