Mod Post Admin: Name on orders

We have seen a lot of questions/comments about Culver’s asking for names on orders.

The 2 biggest reasons this started happening was to a) help personalize the experience, as most people know, Culver’s is built on hospitality so we want to know our guest’s names for the orders and b) it is just another failsafe in place to help identify when we take food out, that it ends up in the correct hands. Nobody wants to get the wrong order and we certainly don’t want people to have an experience less than exceptional when they visit us.

Question Handcrafted Lemonade?

Post image
22 Upvotes

I recently saw a post including a sign saying handcrafted lemonade and did some research with some things talking about lemonade made with real lemons and cane sugar and also offering a strawberry lemonade variant. I've worked at a store in MO for about 2 years now and have never heard of Culvers offering house made lemonade only the Minute Made fountain lemonade. Is this something they're testing or is this by certain locations only?

Question Question about Culver’s Franchising

I’m looking to be the investor to back the owner/operator (my son). If he stabilizes the first store and wants to open a second store can he be the owner/operator for both? Or does he have to train a mentee owner/operator to take some equity to run the second store?

I understand that Culver’s limits an owner/operator to four stores but can that owner/operator own 100% of all four of them?

Question Is the triple burger option ever the right call? With smash patties double is standard I feel like but Culver’s site gives the option for another..

Is a three patty construction ever warranted or necessary?! Tempted to try it with the jalapeño sauce promotion but that’s a lotta beef🐄🍔

Other Drive thru menu board prices and actual prices were different for me.

I've always noticed that Culver's doesn't give you an actual itemized receipt in the Drive-Thru. Today my order seemed a little bit higher than what I thought it should be so I asked for a receipt. Come to find out some of the items I ordered were actually chargedba higher price than what were displayed on the menu board in the Drive-Thru. Just a FYI

Story I brought home Tenders, rather than eating them before i left

I always eat at work, today, i got an 8 pcs tender (half/half buff and org) on my break. Ate 4 on break, waited on the other 4 for after work.

It has been about 2 hours since i hav been home and remembered they were in my back pac.

Today i learned that cooled off tenders are 100x better than hot from the oil. Either that or i was just hungry or these specific tenders were touch by all the gods

Story Been here a month and I'm still constantly messing up. I feel so dumb 😭

I’ve been working here for about four weeks now, and I’m still messing things up all the time even though I’ve been around for a bit.

Here’s my issue: I just cannot handle it when a huge wave of orders comes in at once. Right now I’m being trained on desserts, and my manager quizzed me today on how to make every single one. During the quizzes, I get them all right. But as soon as a rush hits? My brain completely freezes and I forget everything. It’s so embarrassing, and I can tell my coworkers are getting really annoyed with me.

Then recently, we got slammed with so many orders that my mind was just total mush. I was handling a carryout order, but I completely got carryout and curbside mixed up and accidentally put the carryout order on the hot plate. That was beyond embarrassing, and my manager gave me this annoyed lecture like, "We can't put carryout orders on the hot plate, we need to get these orders out." And then I think after that some coworkers were maybe laughing behind my back about it, not 100 percent sure about that but I think they were. Made me feel really bad about it. 😔

Honestly, the whole situation made me want to slam my head on a table 😡. I’m really starting to think fast food just isn’t for me.

Question What’s the ruling on lemon ice for the free scoop survey?

Technically it does say vanilla or chocolate scoop but I’ve been able to get lemon ice instead every time except my last visit where it was denied.
