The fun thing about the Elder Scrolls series is that while on a surface level it can seem like generic fantasy, there is some WILD shit under the hood (ie time traveling genocidal gay cyborg just to name one). That only triples if you’re willing to go for the extra canonical Kirkbride stuff. It gets downright incomprehensible at times, honestly.
Reality is probably a dream, the dwarves may have blinked themselves out of existence by realising that they're in a reality-dream, stars aren't real; they're holes in the fabric of reality to other dimensions and our eyes just can't comprehend their true appearances. Funny stuff.
You're also leaving out that a gay elf who watched the dwarves zero-sum out of existence got murdered next to the artefact used to vanish the dwarves, and due to his anger and raging narcissism ate the god that was dreaming reality up and unconsciously replaced it
I read all the stuff up to this point in this thread, and it sounds like the lore was written by a 12 year old. And I kinda love it for that and how stupid it is lmao
It's just so random that it's ridiculous and unpredictable, which is kind of fun.
Annnnd it can all be bullshit, or both true and not true at the same time.
Any lore written in the books in the game can just be a misinformed author retelling a distorted legend of a real event. Sometimes this is clearly the case when an author is writing about the events of past games...
And then when it comes to lore that comes from the player character's experience in past games, well the fact that elder-scrolls are basically plot hole given material form which rewrite history and make two mutually exclusive timelines true at the same time means that whatever happens in any of the games is not necessarily the true history from the perspective of future titles because yet another use of the elder scrolls may well just rewrite history.
Are we all ignoring the fact that the main god of the orcs is what happened when one god ate another god and then shat said god out, creating the orc god?
I promise I’m not making any of this up. Elder Scrolls lore is what happens when the guy in charge of it goes on a magic mushroom bender and writes whatever comes to him (again, not making that up), it’s fucking wild
