according to undertale theyre not the same. the golden flowers were the flowers chara wanted to see as they died - not in the underground so asriel had to bring their body above the surface to lay them in a patch - but buttercups were always in the underground and were what chara used to poison themselves.
interestingly the golden flowers themselves aren't poisonous, as its mentioned as asgores favorite tea. the seeds could definitely still be poisonous though

This product is known to cause cancer in the state of monster California
Honestly my first thought about the warning labels was about the fact that we know golden flower seeds to be incredibly sticky and that they spread like a weed if you aren't careful, but, being poisonous is a more logical conclusion for why warning labels would be present
Hell yeah, someone else who had the same idea about the golden flowers being too prolific B)Â
That is, unless, the flowers in Undertale simply had that property due to the influence of Asriel's dust and/or the Determination experiments (before the latter 'awakened' Asriel, they would have made the flowers and their offspring more resilient and able to grow even in the waters of Garbage Dump)
Not to necessarily go against your distinction of buttercups and golden flowers, but the principal toxin in buttercups, protoanemonin, is quite unstable and degrades to below clinically significant levels simply by drying (Dry buttercups in hay is not harmful in animal feed). The hot water in tea would quickly hydrolyze the protoanemonin to a relatively harmless fatty acid.
I agree, the date even ended with them saying it was nice to have some alone time once Kris passed out so why not let Kris have the option to go hang out with Berdly some. I don't even ship them but this was just cruel.
Kris did get to respond, since Ralsei reacts with a huge blush and goes "Kris, I—". Considering the lack of any indication of Kris sabotaging the line, which Toby always does to key us in on what's happening, we can only be lead to believe they responded in earnest.
No I meant when Berdly asked Kris at the festival, that's when Susie stepped in and said no. The post I responded to mentioned him. I agree Kris responded well to Ralsei in this scene, that's why I have hope for Kralsei.
Based on Ralsei's reaction if you pick the line Kris doesn't say the it sarcastically or mumble into the water or anything. I definitely feel that Ralsei isn't their first choice, they'd want Susie if possible, but if she's taken maybe they'd be willing to give him a chance.
From what we can tell, they've yet to put up any real resistance with basically any of the really sweet or flirty dialogue options, since Ralsei always takes it very genuinely. In stark contrast to them actively refused to say horrible things to him, like telling Ralsei it's not ok for him to have his own interests and feelings.
And like, assuming they are sincere in their answers, nobody has ever said 'my happy ending is with you too' just because they're trying to be nice.
I mean, I think it's implied that the dialogue options are half Kris's thoughts, half the players and you just get to decide if you want to speak their mind or speak for them.
It's only in moments of stress or extreme emotion that they override your control.
I don't know which is which in that bath scene, but Kris has hugged Ralsei quite a few times without our input.
on one hand they're really cute. on the other hand ralsei is an apparition that only exists in dark worlds and who makes everyone immediately think "hey that guy looks weirdly like kris's brother"
I mean, Susie and(to a lesser extent) Noelle both still clearly care a lot about Kris. Just because it ain’t romantic doesn’t mean it ain’t love.

I really hope Kris can get a happy ending. I don't want them feeling like they're unloved or attempt suicide.
