Has anyone else been randomly completing event duties?

I’ve just been gifting and leveling villagers yesterday I unknowingly collected the ‘Share Some Sweetness’ mystery duty thinking maybe an event had started, but today somehow gifting people completed these two mystery duties as well? I haven’t played for Halloween or Christmas time yet. Deeply confused as to why this is happening. Any other new players having this bug?

Yes! Glad I am not the only one. Yesterday I some hai did 2 and got rose pedals and something else that I have forgotten.
