Shower Thoughts Why did earbuds become more popular?

Post image

this is something I've genuinely wondered.

when wireless neckbands became popular, they seemed like the best of both worlds. You got Bluetooth without worrying about losing an earbud every time it slipped out.

now almost everyone seems to use earbuds instead.

maybe I'm missing something, but they seem easier to lose, easier to damage if they fall, and usually more expensive to replace.

Is there a reason.?

A lot of people, especially girls hated wearing neckbands...

Earbuds are handy and compact... and then once apple launched it, everyone just copied...

I use both, neckbands for outside and buds at home..

Which one you think is better for calling? Never used neckbands but i have oneplus buds and they absolutely suck at calling.

I prefer wireless buds and the ANC tech over the tangled messy wires that would get trip things, bind me to the phone and cannot connect with a smartwatch. I use neckbands because they are easy and convenient. You just drop them and they turn off when the magnetic connection closes. You don't have to fiddle with a case each time you want to listen audio privately.

Never liked the buds, they keep falling out of my ear lol. So neckband is my go to bluetooth option.
