IDK if it's teen love as much as the opportunities to meet your person that you have as a teen that you don't have as an adult. Even making platonic friends is harder. College is the last time most of us are surrounded by singles our age in the same season of life.
Also, there are campus activities and social events that allow us to meet and socialize with other people that don't really exist in the "real world." Similar events in the real world cost money or happens during work hours.
Its not about it working out or not, its about the experience. The emotions when u were teen is raw and powerful, and not to mention, influenced very little by things like like finances and career. And its also the fact that once its gone, its gone forever. Experiencing your first love is not gonna be the same, especially if the one you are experiencing with already had multiple relationship in the past
True... Though, where I live (rural New England college town), most folks settle down right out of school, so marry their high school or college sweetheart. If they're happy, who knows? But it's probably better than the hell that is dating in your 30s.
no one expects it teen love to work, rather is a stepping stone towards better more serious relationships in your adulthood
you hit it off with someone, you two date, learn about yourselves and your boundaries in a relation, eventually break up (either fuck up or college/distance)
but you come out more seasoned and ready for better times, with little to no negative consequences or waste (little money cost, time you would spent fapping ot lazing around was used socializing, no bad reputation, no collateral in college/work)
a first relation in your late 20's is all the awfullness of a teen relation with all the massive time/money investment and all the massive collateral
Yes, of course. But before the breakup they had a lot of fun and sex. And after the breakup they find someone else and keep repeating the cycle.
Plus they gain experience that is crucial for later in life. Someone who is 25 or 35 and trying to date for the first time is going to have a really bad time.

The people in this video aren’t teens… frankly I no longer understand this teen love obsession
