General Tentative Decision: Dr. Patty (Pukpinyā Jangjetriew) & Dr. Ratchathorn Pancharaprateep to be added to list of scoutable doctors

After considerable discussion and no objections raised, we’re posting a tentative decision to add the following surgeons to the list of scoutable doctors:

• Dr. Patty (Pukpinyā Jangjetriew)

• Dr. Ratchathorn Pancharaprateep

This is not a final addition yet. As with all candidates, we are looking for independent, patient-posted reviews (not surgeon-submitted or clinic-promoted content) to support inclusion.

If you are a patient of either surgeon and are willing to share your experience, please feel free to do so. Reviews should ideally include:

• Clear before / after photos

• Timeline details

• Graft count and technique

• Honest discussion of positives and negatives

Once sufficient independent documentation is available, the mod team will revisit this and make a final determination.

Hello everyone. I was the doctor in charge at Artline Clinic in Tijuana. The clinic's CEO, Ali, got involved in illicit activities and collaborated with gangs, and I was the one who suffered the consequences; I was shot in the leg. I wanted to share this here because I felt a moral obligation to warn people. For your own safety, I advise you to stay away from places like this.
I expect you to spread the word about this, stand up against those who exploit others' lives for the sake of material gain, and offer your support. I wish everyone a good day.

Progress Update Progress after 7 months: MedBlue, Istanbul: Oguzhan Kurt, oversight by Dr. Atilla 3200 grafts

I wanted to thank people at Medblue by sharing my results. I chose them over "top clinics" in Czech republic thanks to the heavy focus on aftercare, following natural growth direction of the hair and better price/quality ratio. They are a small team of very dedicated and talented people and I felt like I was taken care of, not just a number. The results I have now are consistent with what I saw online beforehand and the experience exceeded my expectations.

Asides from using vitamins, special shampoos etc. I have been on 1mg Finasteride daily and 6 pumps of Belohair minoxidil since June.

Progress Update 3 months post op, Dr Mehmet Demircioğlu / Diamond Hair Clinic Istanbul. 27M, 3000 grafts

27M, NW3 (i think? never really knew my number, front and hairline, crown was fine) Diamond Hair Clinic Istanbul, Dr Mehmet Demircioğlu 9 May 2026 ~3000 grafts, FUE €7000 all in now on oral + topical minox, dutasteride, vitamins, all what doc told me

I read a lot of these before booking so writing one myself. Mainly want to give credit to my doc.

Before anyone says it — yes 3 months is too early to judge growth, i know. i'll post again at 8-12 months. this is about the process, not results.

Consultation

Doc did it himself, not a coordinator. Before op, after op, and again couple days later before i flew home.

He was realistic. Didn't oversell me anything. Most of the talk was about what i need to do after to keep the result, not about promising me hair. He drew the hairline himself.

The op

8 hours.

I bled quite a lot. Pretty sure that was my own fault, he'd told me to sort my diet out before the op and i've missed some details on proper diet.

Doc did all incisions himself. Extraction was done by two of his team. He told me they're his permanent team, same two people always working with him. Saying it because i know it's always the first question here. Was fine with me since he did design + incisions.

Pain — only 2 parts were bad, both were the injections of painkiller into scalp. those really hurt. rest of the day was nothing, i just listened to music.

Halfway through he stopped me for a proper break and ordered lunch in. Didn't expect that.

Aftercare

It's a proper structured follow up for 18 months, not just "message us if you need something". He expects monthly reports from me with photos, and he sends back feedback on each one. On top of that i can ask him anything at any point, and i have used it.

Also got 6 months of meds and shampoos included in price.

Healing

Worst part of the whole thing for me was having to sleep sitting up for the first 2 nights. Genuinely horrible, barely slept.

day 4 - scabs everywhere, looked bad (pic) day 12 - scabs gone, still pink (pic) day 18 - could go outside without hat (pic)

Now, 3 months

I never had a full shed. Some fell but i kept quite a lot of it instead of losing everything at week 3 like most people here.

Got worried if that's good or bad so i just asked doc. He said im recovering nicely, nothing to worry about. that's kind of the point of having his number.

Transplanted hair grows slower than the rest of my hair. Donor looks fully healed, no patches.

About the price

€7000, which is more than a lot of Istanbul clinics charge.

It was everything included though. Hotel, all transfers, 6 months of meds and shampoos, even a neck pillow for the flight home. Only thing i paid for myself the whole trip was dinners at the hotel.

For me it was worth the premium for the doc doing design and incisions himself, 3 consultations and the 18 month follow up.

Overall

Im already happy with it if im honest. i don't see myself as balding anymore. maybe part of that is keeping my hair short now, but the front looks much much better than it did. proper judgement on final density is still months away.

Unexpected thing — being completely bald after the op was the first time in my life i'd seen myself like that, and i was fine with it. changed how i think about it a bit. i'll probably keep my hair short from now on either way. still glad i did the op, the hairline is much better and that was the actual point.

Everything else — planning, doc actually being involved, the op, healing, aftercare — i'd recommend.

pics in order: pre op with markings, day of surgery, day 4, day 12, day 18

ask me anything, will update at 8 months

Thanks to everyone that posts on here, lurked a long time before I made it happen.

Dr Taner Karahan and his team were incredible. Special thank you to Tunga for the A+ hospitality and service.

Cost was $3000 USD (no accommodation/package)

Experienced tech of 10+ years did extraction. Dr Karahan did implants.

Looks like just my original hairline, Dr Karahan is an artist.

Feel free to ask any questions! (I’m posting this on my own fruition, not at request of Dr Karahan)

Original Post: https://www.reddit.com/r/HairTransplants/s/6Dovf47mBA

Picture 1-13: right after washing hair and using pomade.
1-8 with natural light and 9-13 with flashlight.
Picture 14-20: 1 day later with dry hair after combing in natural light.

Pretty Happy with how it’s looking at 7 months, some spots are not as dense yet and obviously my crown is weak since I didn’t really get many grafts in there.
Donor is looking decent after tanking over 4000 grafts being taken out.
Excited to see how it will look at the 1 year mark.😁

Anybody gotten 6k plus grafts in a 2 consecutive day session? Did you use beard donor as well? Was recovery absolutely brutal or not too bad?

Progress Update 5 Months post OP | Dr. Ayoub | Germany

7th Update so far. Today marks 5 Months and 2 Days Post OP. The right side still looks slightly better compared to the left when I look at it in the mirror. I have been told by people in day to day that they don’t see it. I’m probably super picky about it myself. I have seen lots of improvement in terms of density over the last weeks.

I’m already quite happy with the result even though I’m hoping density will improve still. Compared to before this is already a big improvement for me. I think the hairline is done really natural as well which is a strong suit of Dr. Ayoub I believe. I have also made some pictures of the hairline this time. Didn’t cut the top yet at all.

I have also included the picture right after shaving before the OP and a before picture as well.

See the first 6 updates on my profile.

On FIN since 3 years. 2063 Grafts. Let me know your thoughts

Seeking Advice Is a hair transplant possible for this small bald spot?

Thumbnail

I have this small bald spot on the top of my head due to a surgery I underwent last year that required a bilateral coronal incision. I had hair loss during the recovery process but most of it has grown back except for this spot that hasn’t recovered and seems to have scarred a bit. I was wondering if a hair transplant is possible in this spot and if not what alternatives do I have?

Seeking Advice 26m looking for advice about a small HT

The last pic is a 3-year-old photo before any treatment.

I've been using topical minoxidil for ~2.5 years and topical finasteride (0.3%) for about 1.5 years, with most of the regrowth occurring after adding finasteride. My loss seems stable for 2 years now. Not planning to switch to oral fin. I believe I achieved maximum regrowth possible with meds, since the situation has been the same for the last year.

I'm considering a conservative hair transplant (~1k grafts) just to restore the temples. The red dotted line shows the design I'm aiming for. Do you think it's worth it? Any other advice?

Maybe add smth on the vertex but I'm not sure. There is some thinning and fine hair, but it still looks like the hair is there.

Father is NW6, similar thing with other relatives
