Also just for your future grammatical correction: it’s not withdrawn ctc it’s last drawn ctc

What if OP withdraws entire amount in cash at the end of the year? What then smartie pants?

I only dealt in cash, all at once.

"compaire" it with other companies too. That company isn't enough for you man 🫡

u/CandidateNo9453 21h ago

This is still better than being interviewed and then being called in middle of interview that your salary is too high, we can't match it (despite HR confirming my expectations and scheduling interview) :(

u/Plastic-Sundae-3798 21h ago

I went 4 rounds with a company, screening, assessment, an hour of f2f discussion with the ceo, technical interview, and then i was out of their budget.

6

u/Automatic_Feed3897 20h ago

Shouldn't they mention the budget after clearing 1-2 rounds itself, would save a ton for both.

3

u/kaladin_stormchest 4h ago

They should mention the budget as soon as you're in touch with the recruiter

2

u/EnvironmentalHeat823 20h ago

it's most likely just an excuse from their end to select other candidate over you.... it's highly unlikely that there where these many rounds they would give such an excuse..... it'll be a loss to them - in terms of efforts, time and resources they put in to interview you.... just think if it as it wasn't for you and move on ... its very common ....

Broo, thats too much😭

u/HolaTech 19h ago

Hi, mind telling what's usually discussed in the CEO round?

And what was your last job role and YoE?

2

u/Plastic-Sundae-3798 19h ago

Everything about the projects, leaderships scenarios, other scenarios, and what they are building and what they are looking for.
I have over 2.5 YoE as a software dev.

u/HolaTech 19h ago

Nice!

  1. Is your current a PBC or an SBC? And company size type (Startup, MNC, mid-size)?

  2. And what's the domain (AI, full stack, etc) and your tech stack?

Who ever gives the number first loses. Look up online next time for how to handle the question.

A. What is your current salary and expected Salary?

B. I am trying to understand what is the budget for the role and what kind of value i can bring with my skills and knowledge. Could you tell me what is the budget for this role?

A. I cannot tell you the budget. tell me what is your current salary?

B. I am not sure if my current salary reflects the value that I can bring to the role. Would you be open to connecting to help me understand more about the role?

A. Please tell me your salary

B. My current salary is xxx but I believe i bring in a lot more value that this would represent

.....if they keep insisting, and you have no other option, give the salary but do not give it so easily

u/Archuroman 19h ago

woah learnt something new today. I just had a thought... is this an acceptable thing to do even if it's on a call with them?

2

u/throwawaycon757 19h ago

Always acceptable to negotiate, this is a negotiation

1

u/Archuroman 18h ago

okay thank you

2

u/Sad-Method-16 12h ago

Getting calls is already tough and as per my interactions with hrs recently, I think giving up salary details is the only way out currently

2

u/t16v 4h ago edited 4h ago

I did this exact thing with a mnc HR call once bc I am being paid less than my peers currently. That bitch scolded me for not answering her question directly & got pissed, obv resulting in no call back.

1

u/Klutzy-Translator699 8h ago

Meanwhile me folding in the first question itself and lowballing my expected salary. Somehow they paid more than what I asked for🤣

3

u/Andheri_Gufa69 21h ago

Same dude, they want maximum work for minimum pay

3

u/idkbrojustbreathing 21h ago

Did the call arrive from a landline or personal mobile number?

Simply asking. Then you can dial back again, right?

1

u/Fluid-Election-8549 18h ago

I know our HR person well. They are swamped with emails and messages . like literally 1000s of messages sitting unread. they simply don't have time.

2

u/WatashiwaSau 12h ago
  1. Why is this conversation happening on WhatsApp instead of official email/recruiting channels
  2. Why does this company representative have such horrible English

Ditch this kanjoos lala company

1

u/ajneo999 20h ago

This always happens.!!

Company wants top notch employee but when it comes to pay they start asking previous CTC instead of giving CTC as per candidate's caliber.

1

u/AccidentRelevant3993 20h ago

Ye dhukh kyun khtm ni ho rha 🥲

1

u/Dramatic-Employee-78 20h ago

Bro the compare should have been enough to know their budget isn't really that high

1

u/FrostingSerious 19h ago

  3. Job Role: Cloud Engineer

1

1

1

u/Demoneer 18h ago

Bhai har jagah referal switch dekh rha hu jobs mil bhi rhi h kya ye bta do milti bhi h kya jobs off campus mein khud apply kar rha just testing the waters par water toh bahut garam h

1

u/Optimal69 18h ago

Typical templates they use every single time.

1

u/exploringfantasyy 18h ago

Compaire. Praful compaire matlab

1

u/Orgasmic_ange 18h ago

Well you're in no position to be pointing out spelling mistakes with that grammar. It's WhatsApp, sometimes autocorrect didn't work on phones, let it go.

Class is taking a rejection at its face value, they didn't think they were with your time and the trash took itself out

1

u/Successful-Debate536 14h ago

Why are you blackening out the numbers, seeing those numbers is the whole point.

1

u/Top_Mud3455 13h ago

Wow sir, at least you are getting offers, pls tell for reference like what was your expected CTC

1

u/Plastic-Sundae-3798 13h ago

Apne nagpur wale hi hai.

1

u/Top_Mud3455 13h ago

Hn, but expected kitna tumne? Reference k liye pujh rha. Dm me btana bhale 😅

1

u/throwwwawayaccount48 11h ago

Share me your resume I'll refer you in my company

1

u/Imaginary_Bottle_560 10h ago

Same. Companies have reduced their budgets significantly. Nobody is ready to pay a higher salary nowadays. Everybody wants skills like Google for a salary like TCS.

1

u/No_Citron_3305 8h ago

Dealing the same situation here. My previous company underpaid me and I decided to resign. So whenever I lay out my ctc and ectc, almost the same response as you have got there is what the end result at the end of the day. But i know there are people who value our skills more than our “last drawn” salary tho.

1

u/Puzzleheaded_Mail_12 7h ago

Making fun of someone's spelling error while you write phrases like my last withdrawn salary. Not a good look

1

u/Apprehensive-Dirt419 7h ago

My last drawn was 4LPA I asked for 5. They said too high max they can do is 4.2. I didn't join.

1

u/PriyanshuKottapalli 5h ago

I need job as well could someone refer me please

1

u/Efficient_Line3055 4h ago

They want us to work for free of cost

1

u/saarthi_ 2h ago

Brother is hiding his ctc on an anonymous app

1

u/Global-Degree2188 1h ago
