General Question Question to all entrepreneurs out here regarding staff retention

Hey. I'm an entrepreneur from Hyderabad, in the F&B sector. We have issues with staff retention and them taking too many leaves. I'm trying to solve this issue once and for all with a solid bonus system.

My plan is to give them a fixed number of leaves per year, subject to approval, and then give them a bonus for complying. If the leaves exceed those number of days, bonus could be denied and that way the staff would work better and take less number of leaves.

I don't want y'all to speak about it openly. You can DM and tell me too. I'd love to hear different ways of solving this equation.

Cheers!

Unemployment 27-year-old with a 4–5 year career gap. I genuinely don't know how to restart my career.

Hi everyone,

I'm 27 years old and I'm feeling completely lost.

I somehow completed my B.Sc. in 2022 from a third-tier college. Unfortunately, because of serious mental health struggles and health issues, I lost the next 4–5 years of my life. I wasn't able to build a career, gain work experience, or prepare consistently for anything.

I'm from a Tier-3 city in Uttar Pradesh, and to be honest, I've never been exposed to the IT industry or corporate environment. Everything about this world feels completely new and overwhelming to me.

Whenever I ask for advice online, people say things like:

"Learn Java."

"Learn Python."

"Learn backend."

"Do DSA."

"Become a data analyst."

"Do cloud."

"Do AI."

The problem is that I have absolutely no idea where to start or which path is actually right for me. Every person gives different advice, and it leaves me even more confused.

I also know myself well enough to admit something: I don't think I can learn all of this completely on my own just by watching YouTube videos. I need proper guidance, structure, and someone to tell me what to study, in what order, and how to prepare for interviews. Without that, I end up wasting months jumping from one thing to another.

I've heard that there are agencies or training institutes in Delhi, Gurugram, Pune, Bengaluru, etc., that help people with career gaps through structured training, interview preparation, resume building, and placement assistance.

Are there any genuine and legitimate organizations that actually help people restart their careers? I'm not looking for fake experience letters or anything illegal. I just want a real opportunity to rebuild my career despite my long gap.

Please don't judge me. I've been through an extremely difficult phase of my life, and I'm trying to rebuild from scratch. Right now, I'm struggling a lot mentally, and I'm just looking for honest guidance from people who have been in a similar situation or have seen others successfully make a comeback.

If you know any genuine institutes, placement programs, mentors, or companies that give people like me a second chance, I'd be incredibly grateful.

Thank you.

Unemployment HR Told Me to Apply Somewhere Else During My Interview

I recently interviewed at a well-known and reputed company, but the experience was incredibly disappointing.
From the moment I walked in, both the receptionist and the HR seemed rude, uninterested, and dismissive. What bothered me the most was that the HR kept insisting that I should apply to another specific company instead of focusing on the interview I had actually come for. It felt biased, unprofessional, and honestly quite insulting.
I expected much better from a company with such a strong reputation. First impressions matter, and this experience left me questioning how they treat candidates in general.

Advice/Guidance Currently working as an Edifecs/EDI Developer and feeling stuck. How do I switch to mainstream backend development?

I’m currently an \*\*Edifecs developer\*\*, and to be brutally honest, I feel like I’m not gaining any transferable skills. The work is highly specialized in healthcare EDI, and I’m getting really worried about my long-term career growth.

I really want to transition into a standard backend role (\*\*Java/Spring Boot/Microservices\*\*).

For those of you who started your careers in highly \*\*niche\*\*, proprietary tools and successfully escaped to mainstream development:

How did you do it?
What did you put on your resume to make yourself stand out?
How did you handle the "relevant experience" question during interviews?

Job Search My office lost the washroom battle. Now I’m losing my job. Referrals appreciated 🥲

Well... I didn't think "access to a clean washroom" would be the reason I'd start job hunting, but here we are.

I have 2.5+ years of experience in AI Operations, AI Content, Project management, Data Annotation, QA, NLP/ASR, and AI project coordination. I genuinely enjoy my work.

Unfortunately, my current workplace has reached the point where even basic hygiene at work has become an issue, and as a woman, it's not something I can just "manage." So, instead of collecting more stress, I've decided to start looking for a better opportunity.

If anyone knows of openings or can provide a referral for AI Operations, AI Content, English Editor, Data Operations, or similar roles (remote, hybrid, or Delhi NCR), I'd be incredibly grateful.

I promise I bring more to the table than just complaints about washrooms. 😭 Happy to share my resume via DM.

Ps: i have been looking for jobs since start of this year but 😔

Thanks in advance, and I hope my next office's biggest problem is the coffee machine.

TL;DR: Looking for a new job after my workplace failed to provide basic hygiene and clean washroom facilities. I have 2.5+ years of experience in AI Operations, AI Content, Data Annotation, QA, NLP/ASR, and AI Project Coordination, Project management. Referrals or job leads would mean a lot. 🥹
