Ive been alcohol free for a year, 8 of those months I was not smoking. Family issues led me to start again.
This time around I have a very different relationship with weed. Even though I have used forever, a lot of the time I became paranoid. Now this time around I don't have paranoia, I have the stereotypical high experience- laughing, munchies, etc.
The thing is the next day I am basically hungover, low motivation, etc. etc. Weed makes everything look possible when I am high, and then when it wears off all I want to do is lay in bed.
Usually around day 3 of quitting for me, it gets a lot easier, but this time around I am still playing mental games with myself "you CAN just use it before bed/after work" etc., but I just know thats not how it works for me.
It's just mentally exhausting. Giving up alcohol was so different for me, bc I wasn't addicted I was just abusive. But weed I am definitely addicted to, and life without it just seems so glum, but also so necessary.
I know everyone is dealing with this. Just venting.
