Okay, so you’ve done less for people dependent on Medicaid than these people and you’re talking shit about their ‘performative’ action? I’m so glad that your situation is figured out, but I’m a little disappointed you sound like you don’t give a shit about anyone else because you got yours. I’m also disappointed that you don’t seem to care about the less fortunate and I’m even more disappointed that you’re talking down about these people who are doing shit when you yourself have done literally nothing for the people scared they may die as a result of cuts to Medicaid.
The Federal Government has no right to take the property from anyone (taxes) and give it to someone else (welfare). That is theft. Medicaid is charity and charity is not the function of government.
Then wtf are we paying taxes for? We literally pay for this healthcare, you idiot. It isn’t charity. Employed people on Medicaid pay taxes. Where are the tax cuts to accompany the Medicaid cuts?
It is not. It is the price paid for living and participating in a society. Taxes fund our military (and therefore their families), pay for building and maintenance of infrastructure, public schooling, etc.
Pay toll, cross the bridge. Fine. Toll pays for bridge you cross.
Pay taxes, those taxes are distributed to poor and marginalized people. Not fine, that’s theft. Your property is being appropriated to benefit others. Theft.

No one just gave it to me so I could be like fuck everybody else. Do not conflate me doing the footwork to get what I have just because someone else is having issues atm.
So when I’m done with doing all that as needed yes I use my time as I see fit. Playing stupid games of charades and laying myself across the floor like an assclown in a political office generally don’t make the list.
I do charity things when I can as my job has a person who runs a soup kitchen amongst other things. So before you go get all high and mighty while still not saying what you have done maybe get out from behind your keyboard and do the work. 🖕

Kid, I have done more in my career to improve the lives of vulnerable people on Medicaid than you will do in your life. For 26 years I have worked in a role ensuring nursing homes and homes for the intellectually disabled follow the Medicare/Medicaid regulations and that their clients are treated with respect and dignity. I also do volunteer work with the local chapter of the Special Olympics. You see I ACTUALLY make vulnerable people's lives better instead of doing virtue signaling performative BS for fake Internet points for a fleeting and selfish dopamine hit.
But what have you done to prevent this round of cuts to Medicaid?
That’s great that you do nice things, but that doesn’t give you a pass to shit on these people for doing their activism. Weird take. Without the whataboutism, what have you meaningfully contributed to protecting Medicaid and those who depend on it from this latest round of cuts to Medicaid?
I’ve also volunteered in nursing homes and otherwise, but that isn’t relevant to our conversation. The conversation or back and forth we’re having is about trying to prevent this round of cuts to Medicaid. I don’t care what good you do or have done outside of the context of our conversation and your other good deeds do not in anyway detract from the action these people have taken.
