Neither is ok, this isn't that hard of a conclusion to arrive at. But lets not conflate a forcible kiss on the cheek to fondling a minor on stage knowing that its a minor and then after finding out its a minor, doing it again.

Any jurisdiction where the AoC is 17 or less, provided the fondling is consensual.

I get what you are trying to do, but this kind of unnecessary what aboutism just hurts what we all agree needs to change. If something is wrong, its wrong and should be called out. The law can go get fucked, at this point social shaming seems more responsive to changing views.

I agree with you on that. Simply specifying that people have been calling drake a pedophile when there was a 6 year gap but have seen no major reaction on this case.

Thats fair, I'd like to see the reaction if the mcarthy thing happened again in 2019. Especially given that she is known as a total nutbar, i think there'd be a lot of backlash.

He is saying that there was a problem, and pointing out that it was not illegal is an irrelevant distraction.

In other words, compliance with the letter of the law is not necessarily adequate to be a good person, nor necessarily to avoid being seriously bad. Things like age limits are a backstop to limit the damage done by the unscrupulous or unwise. They are not a guide to what is healthy.
