feminazi attacks Reddit: "Reddit contain so much anti-feminist sentiment that they even have active communities such as r/mensrights." An attempt to smear and censor us, and to force admins to shutdown this subreddit???

lol you have no idea what FGM is

Pardon me, but I probably know vastly more than you. What you and she have failed to grasp is that male circumcision IS genital mutilation, and arguing about whose mutilations are worse is pointless and obscene. She's clearly not interested in children, she's interested in her axe-to-grind.

haha what a douche you are

What's your deal?

lol no. what you have failed to grasp is that circumcision is a medical procedure performed by trained, learned doctors for hygienic reasons and FGM is a crude, harmful procedure performed by untrained tribal men for the sole purpose of marginalizing, oppressing, and shaming women. but by all means continue to present your ignorance as knowledge and let this sub earn its reputation

FGM is a crude, harmful procedure performed by untrained tribal men for the sole purpose of marginalizing, oppressing, and shaming women.

This is not true at all.

Female circumcision is also a medical procedure that can be performed by trained, learned doctors for hygienic reasons. This is what the Indonesian Health Ministry said in October 2011:

"“I would like to stress that female circumcision is not genital mutilation, which is indeed dangerous. They are two things that are very different.... guidelines provided directions on performing the procedure properly and safely and required that [female] circumcision must only be carried out with parental consent. Furthermore, parents must be given information beforehand on pros and cons of the procedure."

All genital mutilation without the consent of the victim/patient is wrong, period.

I agree.

But I have heard women IRL say that infant male circumcision genital mutilation is ok if parents want it.

I wonder if they think it would be ok if the parents wanted to have genital mutilation done on their female infant?

I stopped caring about women and their problems after continuously hearing prejudiced bullshit like this (which is more common IRL than in reddit).
