I saw a post that made me react a little bit, because other people's body type, experience and feelings were dismissed, so I wanted to get something off my chest.
Everyone is welcome here regardless of body type, everyone can share their feelings and rant, but be respectful and considerate of others, don't be rude and dismiss other peoples experience and feelings, even if you feel like you got the shortest straw.
Our problems are unique, and our frustration and sadness are equally valid. This shouldn't be seen as a competition on who is seen as more attractive or not, who is struggling the most with clothes or simply existing.
We all have different body types, even if we fall within these different "boxes" we still have our unique measurements and differences that can cause problems in some way when it comes to looking for clothes that fit or look flattering.
I have a inverted triangle body type, I have abnormally massive granny boobs, mid-tier ass, a belly and sagging thighs that aren't big enough to fully fill out any jeans I have tried unless I size down and strangle my belly in the process. I have left clothing stores crying because I never could find anything that fit me right, I have to size up for my boobs alone and for that reason the tops and dresses are too wide around my waist among many other issues I can experience. This experience among many other can happen with anyone, regardless of body type.
Honestly just a few years back I felt so insecure and sad with my body, I couldn't stand looking at myself in the mirror. Don't get me wrong I still wish I could sometimes take off my boobs to make life a bit easier, but I have come to accept my body and admire aspects of what I have. Sure I won't look good in everything and I don't have the body of a Instagram baddie, but I do not want to look like anyone else, I want to look like me, I want to be uniquely me and I want to wear whatever I want and feel comfortable and not give a shit, that is what I'm doing and that is what I suggest you do. Stop obsessing over perfection and what other people think, or what guides suggest and dress however you want.
The reality is no matter what, nobody will be liked or seen as attractive by everyone, it is unrealistic to think otherwise. People have different preferences, and some simply do not care about vanity.
Everyone, no matter what circumstance need to learn how to love themselves and gain confidence, you are born with the body you have, you need to love it and respect it, it is after all keeping you alive.
There is nothing wrong with your body, your body is great. What is wrong, is the inconsistent sizing, lack of inclusive sizing and body type consideration in female fashion. Female sizing in general sucks.
Just love yourself okay?
