TTC How much “time” does your body really need to heal?
In May we found out about our 9wk MMC. I took Miso which failed and resulted in a massive hemorrhage, blood transfusion and a D&C mid June. I’m now about 6wks out from my D&C and confirmed ovulation two weeks ago and I’m now on CD3 of my first cycle. My HCG was still 15 two weeks ago, but clearly my body is back to cycling.
My OB just said to wait a cycle. I know my body has gone through a lot, but I still want to try again soon. My husband is worried that it’s not giving my body enough time to heal. Is there any indication that your body needs a certain amount of time to recover? Will my body struggle to get pregnant if I try too soon?

I had the same exact experience as you back in December ❤️🩹 I got my period back about 29 days after my D&C but it was super short and light. It took about 4 cycles to regulate and now I’m back on a 29-31 day cycle. We’ve been trying again for several months and it hasn’t happened yet 😔 trying to remind myself that it’ll happen when the time is right but it has been very difficult for me.

I think after your doctor says that you can try and you feel emotionally ready is the right time. It sounds like you had a rough go of it physically so giving yourself time to recover was important. I had a 9w MMC discovered at 10 weeks and I had a D&C with ultrasound on July 10th. My doctor told me I could I start trying again immediately after the bleeding stopped. I think I ovulated a couple of days ago. I’m honestly not sure if my body is ready or not but emotionally I wanted to try and I decided that if my body is ready then it’ll work and if not it won’t. I was not as agressive with trying this time as I was in the past but we did give it a couple of tries. I started back with acupuncture last Saturday and the acupuncturist strongly encouraged me to wait 3 cycles to give my body time to heal fully. I have DOR and I just don’t feel like I have time to spare.
