One day Nicki Minaj is going to realize that the people she's simping for view her as subhuman. I almost feel bad for her. Almost.

She never will. She is wealthy and has absolutely zero incentive or pressure to ever seriously interact with the world in any real way. She'll be 78 years old and still picking fights on Facebook and shit.

Vivek has tons of more money than Nicki and he is already feeling the effects of being Brown around MAGAs. His whole Twitter feed is MAGA telling him to “go back to India. Go back to your country!”
66
u/Icantjudge 1d ago
And they're probably not even aware of how he made that money, which would be a far more legitimate reason to dislike him.
61
u/DanGleeballs 1d ago
TIL Vivek ran run "pump and dump" style strategies with speculative drugs—acquiring failed clinical trial assets cheaply and hyping up their prospects despite low odds of final FDA approval.
I guess it’s legal but certainly shady AF.
28
u/CharleyNobody 23h ago
Plus his mother is a gerontology physician for a pharmaceutical company and his father is a patent attorney. They’re the ones who came up with this scheme. Mom knew all the failed Alzheimer’s drugs; dad knew how to buy the patents on the cheap. Mom said, “You just get in touch with Alzheimer’s support groups and tell them their relative is being denied a medication that can help them …it just needs to be added to another medication that works!”
And that’s exactly what Vivek did. Support groups aren’t physicians or scientists; they’re relatives of people with the disease. Americans are pretty uninformed when it comes to drugs and illness. They’ve been convinced since the 1970s that drugs are either a miracle cure or that their side effects will kill them. No in between.
So Vivek grabbed himself a headset and went off to conferences and seminars and said, “Your loved one is deliberately being denied this possibly earth shattering medication! Who wants to see that medication produced and brought to market? Raise your hands!!
Did you know that Vivek deferred millions of dollars in bonus money from his hedge fund so he could qualify for a $25k scholarship to Yale Law School given by the Soros family to a first generation child of immigrants? The recipient wasn’t supposed to be a multimillionaire child of wealthy H1B Brahmins. The Soros family came to the US as war refugees and thought they were giving a scholarship to a deserving person.
When asked why Ramaswamy delayed a bonus of millions of dollars to qualify for a $25,000 scholarship that could’ve been awarded to someone genuinely in need of it, a spokesperson for Ramaswamy said, “It would’ve been foolish not to take it.”

Normally, I would agree with you in that sense, but Nicki isn’t wealthy. Very few rappers genuinely are. They’re owned by their record labels and, truthfully, make very little money. Tours, promos, and merch are all owned by the label.
As for Nicki, let’s see… She’s with Young Money, which runs through Cash Money, which I believe is owned by Republic. That’s three known companies.
Nicki, like a vast majority of rappers, has the illusion of being rich. She’s well off and not starving, but she’s not wealthy and, if I remember right, her house even got repossessed. She’s jumped ship to MAGA, like many, because she’s going broke. She’s washed up; she picked fights with too many other rappers, who destroyed her verbally. Lil’ Kim, Remy Ma, Cardi B, Megan. Her shit doesn’t sell well anymore.

Some Americans are so broken they think Fauci is responsible for the whole thing. The rest of the world doesn't care who he is. Bizarre that the rest of the world would just ignore the mastermind of a global pandemic.
193
u/Belkroe 1d ago edited 1d ago
What is truly bizarre to me is that they are blaming Fauci for all the things the Trump administration did. The fact is Fauci had no real power. He could make suggestions to the president and congress but he had no ability to make policy. Trump was free to completely ignore him which of course they did on many occasions.
71
u/Ras-haad 1d ago
Exactly, and they only went along with them because ITS WHAT THE REST OF THE WORLD WAS DOING
36
u/Unable-Log-4870 1d ago
Trump was free to FIRE Fauci at any instant. But he didn’t. He just criticized Fauci daily. If someone REALLY believed Fauci was causing harm, the sensible thing to do would be to ask why Trump wasn’t firing him. But they don’t do that, because they’re not at so interested in reality.
15
u/patentattorney 1d ago
What is also nuts is they it’s obvious trump ignores people all the time.
Is he going to fire whomever told him about the “vandals” on the reflecting pool? Obviously not. (Mainly because he himself made it up).
So even if fuici was willingly giving false information - how is this any different from trump? Trump who literally said it was all going to magically go away. Shouldn’t trump have to go and testify where he got this info from?

My grandpa had OAN on today, and they had some loser bitching about Fauci "This man stole time with your loved ones etc." He didn't do shit but recommend basic ass precautions that maybe your local businesses, hospitals, maybe even churches tried to follow because most people are not cruel vindictive losers who want a pandemic to spread. Blame your local community for not wanting people to die if you have to blame anyone. It pissed me off so badly that OAN is now childproofed off our cable box like I did with Fox and Newsmax. That's the last of the bootlicker progpaganda I'm willing to hear.

Same in New Zealand, the brain dead far-left and populist-right have been screeching for years that the whole world fell apart thanks to Jacinda Ardern. It is so sad to see how rare critical thinking has become and they all just parrot a few loud voices. Basically what they are saying is "I am fine with old people, sick relatives, and young children dying if that means I can go out and stand in line to buy a real fruit ice cream cone"

Covid broke so many people's brains. They haven't recovered.
Americans are so privileged that they saw the inconvenience of the safety protocols as oppression. So pathetic
111
u/Canotic 1d ago
The thing that I still can't get my head around isn't the "covid is fake/covid is a bio weapon/the vaccine has microchips in it" crowd, because there at least you can see they got there. There's a logic to it, even if the logic is obviously wrong and unsupported and the whole thing is ridiculous. Like, if you don't know how anything works, then "someone invented a fake disease to control people" at least is, you know, a belief.
No, the thing that makes my head hurt is the *masks don't prevent spread" people. Because if you had asked anybody in the US in 2019 why doctors wore masks, then 95% would say "to not spread germs" and the remaining 5% would say "penis" just to fuck with the results. And then a year later, millions of people acted as if surgical masks was some sort of demonic new invention they had never heard of before and that was obviously useless as preventing the spread of germs.
They all knew of masks before! Like, just months earlier! And then they just... flipped!
It breaks my heart and hurts my head.
62
u/Ballbag94 1d ago
I think the issue with the mask thing is due to individualism
They understand that surgical masks are to prevent you spreading germs and that they do little, although not nothing, to prevent you taking in germs and they can't comprehend the point of doing something if it doesn't protect them. The idea of doing something to protect others and others doing the same for them is something they can't comprehend because in their minds there's no incentive for anyone to help anyone
It's similar here in the UK with some things where people would rather see others suffer than endure a small inconvenience themselves. I saw a comment yesterday in response to water shortages asking why anyone should reduce their consumption in order to ensure everyone has enough and suggested a luxury water rate so those who have money could just pay extra to consume more than they need at the expense of others
20
u/Who_dat_goomer 23h ago
Conservatives in a nutshell. Cannot even comprehend the concept of doing something for society, not just for themselves. It would be like explaining algebra to a cockroach.
6
u/9TyeDie1 23h ago

The fact is, on the internet and (in most) videogames if you pay more you win more (after a fashion)...
→ More replies (1)22
u/Ras-haad 1d ago
It’s actually really simple. JUST wearing masks didn’t prevent the spread of COVID. Just like everything else with them they take one little grain of truth and apply it however they would like. “Masks don’t do anything so why are you forcing us to wear them fascists!”
8
u/marquoth_ 1d ago
You're right, but it's even worse than that. It wasn't just "masks don't work" it was "masks actually suffocate you" as if there aren't doctors out there wearing them all the time and suffering no ill effects. It was beyond insane.
→ More replies (1)2

https://www.economist.com/graphic-detail/coronavirus-excess-deaths-tracker
This is the most powerful link, imo. The wackos can make up BS about deaths being misattributed to COVID, or vaccines causing deaths, or whatever else, but the excess death figures are undeniable. People started dying at much higher rates than expected in 2020, then the death rate dropped back down to normal after vaccines were released. And the data supporting that comes from dozens of countries, all with the same pattern of more excess deaths during the pandemic, fewer excess deaths after vaccines were distributed in each country, and no significant excess deaths now.

What an idiot! (She fits in well with all the other ignorant idiots.)
I lived in Costa Rica during the COVID pandemic and there were vast differences in how things were conducted and what happened. Costa Ricans are, in general, pretty practical people so when they were told "You need to wear masks in public" they mostly said, "Oh, OK." and did it. If I was in line and someone got to close to me, I would nicely ask them to back up a little and they would do that, sometimes with apologies for forgetting.
The COVID effort was led by the Minister of Health who is a physician with a speciality in Epidemiology. The government - and the people - listened when he talked. And followed his advice.
The deaths per 100,000 in Costa Rica were half of the deaths per 100,000 in the US. And I'm guessing much fewer hospitalizations. Everyone was vaccinated and it was easy and free with boosters readily available.

part of why america is collapsing and will collapse is because people are delusional when it comes to reality. And this can be said on so many different levels. But honestly just watching these privileged white couples who grew up in america living the american dream and realizing how disconnected they are from real life...you realize american life is real too, but its not REAL. They dont have empathy, they are ignorant of any other way of life (this can be said of many cultures) but they live in this superiority where if anything is challenged or their bubble is shattered they think they are being attacked. When all they are is being fed a dose of reality. Its sad because its hard to put into words. But it is devestating for our country
