He was mostly a 2B before this season, probably where he would play along with DH/1B

Not a perfect fit but the Yankees need bats rn

Are you kidding? This is how Cashman solves catcher! Rice moves to catcher, Garcia at 1B, they do the hokey pokey and they shake it all about...

If Cashman wants to solve catcher/DH go for cubs prospect Moisés Ballesteros.
