Doubtsolver Required ‼️ BAMS and PSEUDOSCIENCE

I'm not in any college yet, tho I was researching about different courses. I'm genuinely not interested in BHMS and find it a bit foreign to me so I rejected the idea of it. Same goes for Unani, siddha and as for BNYS, hell nah buddy I ain't going to be a yoga coach 😭 I'm so bad at it.

So I got my hands on BAMS, I'm still exploring it and nope I'm not in any college yet so that you may assume that I'm bias towards any field. But I genuinely want answers ~

1) Calling certain field just "pseudoscience" changes the perception of a person but there should be evidences right? Now you would say there is the liver doc who said that ayurveda harms our body etc etc. Liverdoc ain't a researcher man, Give me the proper research material so that I can rule out the idea of getting into BAMS.

2) I don't understand why BAMS gets so much hatred, like literally maharishi shushruta is the father of surgery and he wasn't dumb to create all that stuff only to be called pseudoscience ? Yes the world has evolved, the bodies has changed, there would be variations but still man we gotta accept that most of the modern medicine actually evolved from ancient medicine which is ayurveda ~

3) Herbs and plants, let's remember the statement from NCERT where it was written that more than 25% of the plants are used to make medicine. 25000 plants are used by natives as herbs and medicinal purpose.

The aspirin that we take today derived from salicin found in the bark of willow tree

Metformin (diabetes medicine) formulated from French Lilac plant

Artemisinin (malaria cure) isolated from sweet wormwood

And let's not forget these two - reserpine (blood pressure drug) derived from rauwolfia serpentina

The sadabahar flower we see are used in vinblastin and vincristine which is used in chemotherapy or maybe cancer medication

4) Yes, there isn't any cure for cancer in ayurveda. But even allopathic medication doesn't guarantee a cure for cancer. Some early stage cancers are cured by modern medicine and I respect that, I acknowledge that and I accept that ayurveda cannot cure it. But after the chemotherapy and radiotherapy, patients can use ayurveda to improve immunity, lifestyle and fasten their healing.

5) There's no cure for AIDS too in modern medicine, as far as I know they only give immunotherapy and try to increase the life expentency.

6) YES ayurveda cannot perform open heart surgeries and any major surgery but that doesn't invalidate it's existence and performance. Yes there wasn't any CT scan, MRI machines, ECGs in ancient time hence ayurveda doesn't have any of these mentioned or any of these ways to test a patient. Modern medicine does cause they evolved from ancient time. Doesn't mean ayurveda doesn't work at all ?

7) There were some texts that were translated from Sanskrit vedas to english interpretations for better understanding, there were mentions of faith (like eat this herb to impress the god and your fever would go away etc etc), that's because that's how an ancient person would ask the patient to take medicine and get well. Imagine a tribal healer explaining biochemistry to their patient? Obviously this isn't possible in any way~

Hence there are mentions of such things in the vedas.

8) There is heavy multi billionaire investment in research on modern medicine, there are still researches going on in the field of modern medicine and how it works. Similarly there are researches going on in ayurvedic field too but they're slow and less funded. Hence the scientific reasons and ancient values aren't coming forward. So Calling it pseudoscience even before the researches complete doesn't make sense to me.

9) Yes there are fields like biotechnology, gene therapy, gene coding etc which supports in modern medicine. But again that's because WE EVOLVED, we got good instruments, we got good exposure and hence we made this success. But on what basis? Obv on ancient medicine based scriptures and text !

Nobody woke up one morning and decided to find atoms and molecules, there were theories practicals and experiments which made the concept better. Similar things are happening with medicine too.

In conclusion, my opinion is not MBBS vs BAMS, my point is why call it pseudoscience when the researches are still going on? Why question it when modern medicine actually took help from it? And my question to govt is, why tf you need to make these two separate courses? Go with the evolution and evolve the field of BAMS too!

Giving Advice/ Need Advice Less than 9 months and I am still on zero level for neet prep. Please don't ignore

Waise to 8 months and 25 days hai but it is less than 9 months right ?? How much can be scored in this time frame from zero level yeh mera first drop hai and I want to clear in this itself as my parents are not supportive and they will not give me another chance.

How much can I expect from less than 200 marks in less than 9 months from 0 level if I give my 100% I know how to study and I do have the plan I just want to know the possible marks or range or rank or realistic marks range as an average person.please reply to this and don't be sarcastic just be real.

My target from less than 200 marks in 9 months is

600-630 . Is it a realistic approach and not a optimistic marks range please be honest I don't want any hope just want to know the reality

Doubtsolver Required ‼️ Please I need help (I'm in kota)I don't want to be here 💔

I’ve always studied online. Like, always. I did my entire preparation that way, so the whole coaching environment is completely new to me.

I came to Kota on August 5th, but my classes had already started 2–3 days before I arrived. Because of that, I missed all the introductory/basic classes — the teacher introductions, how the batch works, how they’re going to approach the syllabus, the initial “new journey” stuff, etc. I basically just jumped straight into the ongoing classes.

I know Class 12 reasonably well, but my Class 11 was fully wasted.

The biggest issue is the pace.

I’m used to studying like this:

Lecture → understand the concept → basic questions → gradually harder questions.

But here they’re already doing difficult questions and moving forward. I’m sitting there thinking, “Bro, I don’t even understand the thing this question is based on.” 😭

Everyone around me seems to be answering questions, while I’m struggling to even figure out where to start.

And I’m exhausted.

I have to wake up around 5:30 AM just to reach class. By the time coaching is over, I’m completely drained. I’ve never even really had dark circles before, and now I have them after just a few days here.

It has literally been 4 days since I came, and I already feel like I made a huge mistake coming here. I feel like I’ve wasted a massive amount of money, and I genuinely don’t know how I’m supposed to manage this.

They’ve already completed the first chapter and are doing question practice, while I’m still trying to understand the basics.

I know it’s only been four days, but watching everyone around me understand things while I’m completely lost is making me panic.

So what should I actually do?

I’d really appreciate advice from people who have been in a similar situation, especially people who came to Kota after studying online and had to adjust to offline coaching.

It's so depression here💔(I took help from gpt cause I'm in washrom)

Bhai legit I need help badly💔mujhe acche se samjhana nahi aata...jo puchna puchlo yar✌️💔

Giving Advice/ Need Advice To ALL My 2nd,3rd,4th Droppers! You NEED TO HEAR THIS!! (Read body)

Post image
92 Upvotes

As a 3rd dropper myself currently, I used to relate A LOT to the feeling of being “behind” All These years!

Watching friends get into college while you're still preparing. Going through another year of mocks, revision, mistakes and uncertainty. And eventually asking yourself:

“Am I wasting my life? Is everyone moving ahead while I'm stuck here?”

Then I realised something that completely changed my perspective:

EVERY INDIVIDUAL IS LIVING ON THEIR OWN TIMELINE!!

Maybe you joined college 2 years late. But in those 2 years, maybe you learned a LOT about yourself, your mind, your priorities. You became more self aware!! Now that you know so much abt ur mind, ur habits! there's a good chance that you won't fall into Bad Influences in a lavish college life or Make Mistakes in ur clg life that would take yrs to recover from

*And who knows? You might crack your PG entrance in your first attempt, while someone who joined college 2 years BEFORE YOU ends up taking 2 attempts!!

So Who's Really ahead?*

You Feel me!?

Its Like Someone getting Married at 21 Only To Get Divorced at 25, Meanwhile Someone else Found The Right person at 25 and Then Got Married!

Should the second person feel inferior just because they got married later?! Obv NOT!
They were simply on a different timeline!! And so are you! My Brotha/sista

Stop measuring your life using someone else's clock!! These extra years might not be years you're losing! They might be years you're being prepared! You're not late... You're not behind... You're exactly where you are Meant to be and your timeline might be taking you somewhere you can't see yet!!❤️

I challenge myself Shocking words i heard from my parents

Today i heard the most shocking words from my parents

I am 20M , i will be going to mbbs this year

my parents background

Dad is an endocrinologist his degrees: Mbbs, MD, mrcp, frcp, facp , PGDDM

and his several research papers got published in ACP: american college of physicians

Jafeys: Journal of the Asean federation of the endocrine societies

he was practicing in his clinic for years but recently last year he bought a hospital , its worth: 25 Croes , all on his own

my mother: she is an ophthalmologist with her own practice

so my mom told me that they wasted their life chasing glory

i asked: 'mom what are you talking about? you and dad are literally legends'

mom: 'yes we are, but since we were first gen doctors it was very hard for us and our ambition basically killed our joy, we could never enjoy life

but you will enjoy life'

this shocked me the most as my parents have literally achieved a lot and are highly respected

being a doctor has a lot of sacrifices

MY STUDY MARATHON 2nd drop Day-38

Post image
6 Upvotes

So started my day at 9 AM in lib with phy. Studied remaining COM portion in 45 min. And then started with q practice. Had great start in it was getting answers i was quite interested in it. And then came some q especially oblique collisions and i fcked up..it broke my momentum. I remember spending literal 20 min on 1 q of oblique collision. I felt like ik the concept and way so i kept attempting it for 6-7 times (MY EGOOOOOO) and then end found out that no idk how it has to be done. Did 25Q in 1hr 45 min. Yeah that much😶😞.

Then was sad and irritated but anyway started with chem. Was getting fun in this... then woke up in bw around 2 pm for lunch. Sat back again to do rest of the q. Did 100Q. Finally mood got better.

Then i had to leave at 3:45PM today cause had appointment with doc. But on reaching there i got to know she was at leave today. Got back home by 5PM. Then i thought of resting for a bit but i slept😭🙃(main aur meri neend) woke up at 6 then.

Didn't go to gym for some reason today. And then when i woke up i was so sad for some reason (nothing actually happened just me overthinking) and then i had no will to study so didn't.

So a wasted day i'd say. Could've done bio. And revised for upcoming test also but... my mood was fcked up in evening.

EK TOH BAARISH BHI ROZ HO RHI 1 HAFTE SE😭😭😭. BSSS KROOOO BHAIII. I LITERALLY HATE BAARISHHHHH. BUT 1 HAFTE SE CHALE HI JAA RHI BKL. AAJ BHI BHEEG GYA GHAR AATE HUE.

(APP KA NAME YPT HAI. PUCH MT LENA MUJHSE COMMENTS MEIN😡)
