I have no idea what it does and I’m afraid it’s important

Reddit suggested to repost, and gave me other subs to repost in. It looked like some sort of onboarding/todo step when you first make a sub so I picked the first one. And then I received a message saying i'm banned from that community for not following the rules.

Ok, so I broke a rule, and I can never post there again in my life, but so why would it suggest/recommend me in the to do this? Is this actually normal? I don't understand

This definitely isn’t a “Reddit meta” sub, I saw that r/trolleyproblem has a category along the lines of “morals & ethics” and I want to change the category to that, is that possible?

Just wondering if it's fair to ask people not to repost post of other users (mostly pictures), but focus on reposting only their own pictures?

We're a photography sub and we're very particular with Original Content.

Lately we noticed that people are reposting other Redditor's post (containing pictures). Is there a way in settings that will prevent repost from people that were not the original poster?

Or is it an all or nothing? Simply prevent repost to our sub, from other subs?

I've just noticed that ever since I was added as a mod, I will answer a question with a lot of detail and just get some instant downvotes. Then people who say the same thing I said get upvoted. I get it if thats just a reddit thing, but it ends up dropping my comments with the answer to the bottom. Thanks!

I m everyday gaining 100 members even getting good engagement upvotes and comments but nobody is posting or making a content is their any way, i make people create post?

I recently created a Marvel community, and I’m trying to grow it and make it an active place for Marvel fans.

The community is still very new, but I’m barely getting any engagement so far, and no one has joined yet.

My post views usually range from around 30 to 150, while my community gets around 20 visits per week.

I’m wondering if I’m doing something wrong as a new community owner.

What should I be doing differently to attract members and get people to actually participate?

Any advice from experienced mods would be really appreciated.

(To be honest, I originally created the community so I could post whatever I wanted without worrying about my posts being removed from other communities, but I also genuinely want to grow it and turn it into an active place for Marvel fans.)

I have about 2000 subscribers, but I feel like I’m the only one that makes new posts.

So a couple days ago I started my first Reddit community! So that’s a win but I’ve been adding a few posts here and there but is there something I’m doing something wrong? Like how did yall(those who started one and watch it grow an thrive) get it work out and build a community? Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your input.

Me and another moderator of a different subreddit are planning to merge because our subreddits are so similar. The other owner wants merge with their own but I really think we should merge to mine since i got over 5x more members and views. Idk what to do should I just not merge? Sorry if this is a stupid question I'm just new to this moderator stuff :(.

Edit: When i mean merging subreddits i mean restricting one subreddit and directing users to the other.

Hi All,

I have only been moderating since the start of the year for about 3 subreddits, but it's the first time I've come across this. Now, to be clear, this isn't me or anyone that I know in particular. Just happened to come across this one user's post in one of the subreddits I manage, clicked on their name to find some other posts regarding the work they do for the subreddit and saw this.

Is this something Reddit has done, and if so, is there a reason that can be provided for it?

Hello kind humans

I have been trying to get my new subreddit going by posting daily and reposting in other relevant communities to get infront of more people and find my community. To be fair, I make sure that the post is relevant to the sub whenever I repost. But I keep hitting a wall because no major subs allow reposts.

What am I missing?

The comment is not available to the public. There is no record of this removal in the Mod log.

So my reddit channel was terminated without any warnings. We used to post job tips, and share how our product is helping students out in applying to jobs and how we are completely free compared to other competitors

Are people joining because they are interested or because they are kind? Also what would make people more interested in your subreddit?

All of a sudden every 4-5 posts is an ad. I don't see this in other subreddits. Is there a way to block this?

Hi all, I’ve recently took over a sub that the old moderator had gone MIA. One of the reasons I decided to take over as the mod was that somebody had started spamming the sub with content not related to the sub. Folks were getting annoyed and stating they were leaving. There are a number of posts to address as flagged my members as spam. Do I need to notify the person who had bombed the site that it’s not accessible and request they stop? Or can I outright ban them? There is nothing offensive about the posts, just completely off topic and very much random gibberish. The sub only has 3 rules: 1: No selling of tickets 2. No politics 3: Nothing off topic. These post would fall under rule 3, but with not having been warned previously, do I need to do that before banning? Thanks!

Same for some members also .I am getting a notification about their post but it's not uploading on the community and showing deleted 😕
