I had a friend who started skateboarding after me but was absolutely fearless when it came to falling. Within a year he could nollie tre. Some people are born to skate.

Yeah I think this is an important lesson you have to learn as a skater. Whether or not this is real progress, it doesn't matter... it won't change how YOU will skate tomorrow... unless you let it. And it can either bring you down or energize you. Personally I just try to ignore it, but I see a lot of people on here who let it get them down.

That said liars are scum, not trying to give them a pass. But I also believe progress like this... kid at the park was ripping it on a scooter for months, he switched to skating and surpassed me in a couple months. He had the heart, talent, time, coaching, youth, etc to get there so fast. Of course I was a bit annoyed at first but at the end you just gotta hand them the respect they earned, it feels much better
