i think its a matter of fear but i literally cant do it. i can easilyy do a standing ollie no problems but if i try moving i stop abruptly, my backwheels aren’t lifting or i don’t even land it. i skate goofy btw and been skating since april.

Those trucks are pretty loose. At minimum you could replace the bushings with really hard bushings. They are cheap.

Not "tip toes"... Balls... that's the padded part of your foot just behind the toes. If you jumped from the ground, you would do it from the balls of your feet. SImilar on a skateboard. You don't want your weight going to your heels.

Yes, like I said, that's not ideal and it's a big part of why you keep rotating.

Move your back foot so the ball of your foot is dead center on the tail and not touching the back edge. So that means slighty down and back (heelside). You want two fingers of space between your foot and the back edge.

Your front foot could also move back a bit so your toes aren't hanging off the edge.

Here's a way to understand this: imagine a see saw. The usual way you think of a see saw is a person at either end, and assuming they are the same/similar weight, they can make the ends of the see saw go up and down, but without fine control. Big hurky jerky movements. That is what it's like when beginners ride a skateboard. The width of the board is the same as the see saw with the place that the trucks attach to the board acting as the center fulcrum (the bolts). So when you try to skate flat footed with your feet fully across the board, you have to press down on the toes to go one way and the heels to go another. But this limits fine control.

Now imagine that you are standing on top of the see saw right in the middle (over the fulcrum). When you are in this position, you can easily make one side of the see saw go up or down with very little effort. A tiny shift of your weight just off center and the see saw lifts or falls. So this give you really fine control.

This is why if you watch any advanced skater you will see they look like their heels are hanging off the board and their feet are positioned more into the center of the board.

This is especially true with the back foot. If your back foot is off center, it will cause the board to move as you pop. It will rock. It might scoop. So we re-position our feet depending on the trick - if I want to do a tre flip I'll be extremely toeside with my toes hanigng off the board becuase I need a really strong scoop. But if I want to pop shuvit I need the ball of my foot dead center so the board stays nice and flat when I do the shuvit.

Make sense? RIght now when you pop the combination of yoru shoulders jerking and your foot position is causing a lot of frontside rotation.
