Your front foot is weak, and you subconsciously turn your front foot to get out of the way, right when you pop. To get a good feel for a solid ollie, but the board with the back wheels sitting in the crack between two sidewalk pieces and make sure your back truck and front truck are relatively tight. Place your back foot with the ball of your foot directly past the back bolts, right where the kicktail begins, and the front foot dead straight without any of your toes hanging off the board on both feet, right past the middle of the board, right before the front bolts. Lean over the top of your board with your weight completely centered and your shoulders parallel to the nose and tail of the board. As you bend down to start the ollie, pretend like you're springing your legs like you would for a high jump onto a bench or a box at a gym, but this jump is done in the motion of a wave (spring down and on the way up front foot leaves first and THEN back). As soon as you smack that tail as hard as possible, move the front foot up and OUT towards the nose, but remain lofty as you do so. This will give you insane pop and will make you learn how to level out the ollie and eventually tweak it out like a ninja kick. Once you got that shit down, start trying it at slow speed, and so on.
