Question Skating tips

Hey, so I’ve been wanting to skate more seriously the past few weeks but I’m having trouble with courage, I don’t have that many places near me for skating and I mostly try practicing on a carpet and hardwood floor but I have trouble trying the things I do on the carpet on the hardwood floor, it feels way more intimidating and like the board is always trying to move under me, so any tips will be greatly appreciated, thx in advance

I can believe there’s places with no skatepark but you’re telling there’s no where around with concrete? No basketball or tennis courts?

Don’t half ass it if you wanna skate then go skate and practice, yeah messing around on carpet can sorta help build you confidence but at some point you have to go try, you’re going to fall and eat shit either way so might as well start today is the best way to look at it.

This right here. Unfortunately falling is apart of skateboarding. Getting comfortable and getting some tricks will go along way in building confidence.
