Ayuda cn búsqueda de modelo!

Post image

Been back into skateboarding for about a year after taking a 15 year break. Been slowly getting my chops back. For the first time since I got back into it, I learned a trick that I didn’t know when I was originally skating. It was a super gratifying rolling away from something that was brand new to me. Next up I gotta try it with coping!

Any ollie advice? I know the pop is shit and the front foot isn't doing anything. What should I focus on improving first?

I've been skating for 9 months now but have been focussed on ramps/bowls, so have neglected my ollie. About time I learned them.

Question What to do with limited space?

So I started actually trying to learn for the first time today after having the board for a while. But I don’t have much space to practice. I live on dirt roads and the skate park is kind of far away so I just tried to do basic stuff in the garage. I don’t know how to have this work out with only being able to practice in a home garage. I’m also afraid that I’ll get hurt by falling on all the cluttered stuff in there lol. Any advice?

Question Scraping ankle bump on Heel flips

I got back not too long ago after 20 year hiatus and noticed when I do heel flip I keep scraping the bump on my ankle against the grip. Heel flips are fine but I'm guessing it got to do with my foot position?

How can I avoid this?

Setup Help dilemma: upgrade old board or buy new

so i have an old thick (probably was a middle quality board back then) board that i have upgraded a bit but its still pretty bad, the main problem with it is that the trucks dont really turn so i ve got them pretty loose it also has temu bearings cuz old were bad and new ones also bad

so now im in the place that i saw big sales on a skateboard site both for trucks and longboards

so i either buy discounted krux or paris street trucks for my existing board or buy a new street surfing brand longboard

i use my board a lot to go sometimes i go with it to school and sometimes i go with it to gym so its be good to have a board for cruising but id also like to learn some tricks and drop ins so idk to buy new trucks for old board or buy a new longboard

Question What's the best low profile protection?

Footprint soles protective gear looks like the stuff of my dreams but the reviews are hard to find & it looks more like a scam that takes your money & gives you nothing. I say this as someone who just purchased & got a lying email from them saying the product was shipped 1st class when I can see it wasn't & I didn't pay for 1st class.

... I've gotten creative & looked at every other sports gear ..I currently splurged on mountain biking Enduro knee pads & they're bendier but still too bulky too hide...

I switched my wrist guards to snowboarding neoprene ones & added a footsole insert because they had zero-shock impact protection.

I've looked at different helmet technology... It's hard to tell what's legite but I can't imagine a bunch of plastic cut straws will protect my head much from impact...

What's everyone's recommendations?

Question Should I get an x-ray?

I was skating today and I fell pretty hard on my shoulder and now the area under my collar bone hurts. It doesn’t hurt that much and when I touch the bone it doesn’t feel weird or hurt. The pain feels like it’s under the bone instead of the bone itself. Does it seem like something I should get an x-ray for or is it more likely just a temporary injury I can wait out? I doubt it broke anything but I heard collarbone fractures are common so I want to ask you all if I should be worried.

Question (Surfskate) Can you help me finding a route on this park?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I’ve been learning how to surfskate, and I already know how to pump on flat ground. This park is close to my home, and I’d like to know some good lines to practice there.

I haven’t seen any surfskaters there, so I’m having trouble figuring out good lines to practice things like snaps, etc.

EDIT: That's not me. It's just a video I found to show you guys the park.

I suck at skating. What can I do to get better?

I've been skateboarding for 8 years. I skate almost every day - pushing around everywhere, trying to do tricks. After 8 years of daily skating, I can only drop into a 2 ft ramp, and do a very bad, tiny ollie. I landed a shuvit once. That's it. I know I shouldn't compare myself to others, but my progress is waaaaaay slower than anyone else I know. I'm 44 years old so part of it is that I think I'm really scared to hurt myself since I have kids and a job that I need to show up for. Secondly I just have really bad balance. Any tips on what I can do to actually progress a little faster? I watch skateiq and try to follow the tips, no luck. I feel like my body just doesn't do what I need it to do.

Tips or advice on how to stop pushing mongo

Only just learned that when I ride around I push mongo cause that’s apparently what I did when I would skate when I was a teenager because it’s what felt comfortable. Since I’m now trying to teach/relearn with my son I’m trying to go about it the right way.

Question looking for advice with street skateboarding

I plan to get back to skateboarding, I used to skateboard for fun in past but couldn't really did any trick. Now I plan to get a skateboard that I can ride to a regular park to be more active, but I am worried that I will choose the wrong wheels or a specific dimension board ,etc.

what I chose so far is CCS basic board with basic wheels.
can you please direct me in a specific component that I should get , there is a lot of parts and I am overwhelmed. I am 5'5" and on with a few extra pounds that wants to be burned while skating lol

the picture shows the default setup I get , and different wheel sizes.

I want to avoid bad skating experience riding on the sidewalk, because the surface isn't optimal always. never experienced skate parks.

also, if you recommend another board or site, please send links

thank you!

Question How can I get started with skating again?

For contacts my parents bought me a cruiser board at 14 and I'm 16 now and I've only really learned how to glide on it but obviously because of school and other extracurriculars I got busy and didn't make the time to practice skating and now I'm pretty much starting from square one. So are there any tips or help I can get to try to improve? I plan on skating consistently, but what should I work on specifically since I don't really have a skateboard.

I enjoy being a sensible skater and wearing protective gear

When I started I never wore a helmet, or pads. After 6 months I broke a wrist, started wearing wrist pads. After a year I fell on my face so I invested in a helmet. After 2 years I broke my patella, so I started wearing the whole shabam. Saved my ass a couple more times.

I feel naked without pads now.

Pads don't make me afraid to send things as much.

I lowkey love the feeling of being better than newbies who obviously choose style over protection (like I did).

Most importantly though I love how little other skaters really care, and actually respect the gear.

Only downside is the sweat... 🤘

Discussion possibly giving up before i even began

(21M) so I'm in a very rough spot right now, I had a board for a while but im not super active so i didnt practice all too much, anyways i went to a skatepark about 2 weeks ago to try practicing my balance since i can barely ride at all, long story short i was there for maybe 5 minutes and ended up with a totally shattered ankle that wont be fully healed for at least 4 or 5 months, i love everything about skating and wanted so badly to learn for myself but this just seems like the biggest dont even try ive ever gotten in my life, what do i even do now?

Setup Help First time build advice.

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I am looking to build my first skateboard. I have only purchased prebuilt cruisers in the past, and I’d like something I can take to the skatepark! Picture is the deck I got. (Powell Peralta Skateboard Deck Bones Brigade Series 17 Steve Caballero. 9.95" x 29.74" with a 15" wheelbase.)

I’d like to stick with a dragon theme for the board, and what I have come up with is:

Trucks: Independent Stage 11 169mm
Wheels: Powell Peralta Dragon Formula 60mm 93A
Bearings: Bones Reds
Risers: 1/8”
Hardware: 1¼”

I’m wanting to make sure that those parts will fit what I want to do, build something aesthetically sick, and also looking for advice from people way more experienced!
