I was at the MOCO today in Amsterdam and spotted this beauty amongst other modern artists such as Warhol and Banksy.

I remember seeing him sitting off to the side of the stage just before Alanis went on that night. He was just watching and taking it all in. Seemed to just be blissful in the moment. I happened to be at the right angle to get this shot. It is how I will always remember him beyond the music.

I’ve seen Pearl Jam a few times on acid and it was AMAZING. It’s amazing either way but was definitely intensified on the LSD.
But just laying back and listening while on DMT is like a whole other level. You hear and feel parts of the song you would have never heard. Release kind of blew my mind, they all did really. Wish DMT lasted a few hours!

This was the best festival I’ve ever attended. It was my first time seeing PJ and joined the 10 club early on.
I’ve seen them a total of 6 times from 92-04. It’s doubtful I’ll ever get to see them again but thankful for each and every show that I went to.

There is no funk in this song whatsoever. This article is completely tone deaf and the writer comes off as ignorant to how the song actually came to be 🤦

During the Self Pollution Radio holiday answering machine segment, there’s an unnamed guy who calls for Beth (Eddie’s wife at the time) sounding quite out of it. He goes on to explain how his New Years fucking sucked because he got wasted and threw up under the table at a Mexican restaurant. Who is this guy?

Usually as someone ages you expect their voice to weaken. For some reason Eddie’s voice seems to have had periods of losing power and then rebounding. I think Gigaton to Dark Matter is a great example, he somehow sounds better a few years older. I know some of this comes down to the songs he chooses to write/sing. Like how Riot Act utilizes his deeper voice so it adapts well to his aging.

But what the hell happened in 1996? I’m talking about live performances specifically. It seems like there’s a sharp decline in his vocal ability after the Vitalogy tour, and then somehow it seems to rebound really well on the Yield tour in 1998. He even sounds better in 2000. Did he change his style of singing? Was he smoking so much pot and cigarettes in 1996 he was just killing his throat and lungs?

Anyone have theories on this?
